I did like Team Sonic Racing even though many people didn't like it, so I will continue to support the games.

Nice those were great games, I love the Advance and Adventure games. The games have been hit and miss since then but I really loved Colors, Generations, and Mania. I'm playing Team Sonic Racing now, it seems pretty good. I will give my thoughts on it when I get further in but I think many people were down on it just because it went away from Sega in general to all Sonic.

I think it is always related to the fact that the game suffered poor advertisement. I don't think the game gets updates either.

yea sonic racing ios is getting all the updates and its a mobile game so more people play it

I was a kid in the '90s with a Sega Genesis in the house. We had Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. I don't remember which I played first, but for simplicity's sake, I go with Sonic 1. And I'm not sure, but Sonic may have even been the first videogame I ever played, period.

Aside from having fun playing the games, I had fun watching the old cartoons, AOSTH and SatAM. Then Sonic sort of disappeared from my life for a while. I did catch a glimpse of Sonic Adventure because my cousin had it, and I did see Sonic Adventure 2's first level on a game station at a local video rental store, Blockbuster. I didn't keep up with anything else after that.

Then Sonic X aired in the early 2000's. It gave me a proper introduction to Modern Sonic. I was shocked at his new look and voice, but I quickly got used to them as the show pulled me in. When it finished, I became inspired to look at the games again. I played Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog. I learned about all the characters and stories I'd missed out on. Sonic always stayed in the back of my mind after that, even when I drifted into other stuff.

I made a return to the Sonic fandom a few years ago and plan on staying for at least a few years more.

I got into this fandom because i spent my time playing on Xbox360, i played Sonic & Knuckles on the Sonic Ultimate Genesis collection in 2009 or 2010. I played Sonic Spinball as well. I saw Sonic X on TV and i loved it as a kid(Still like it till this day but i watch the Japanese dub because it is better than the 4kids dub), but i lost touch of franchise for a while until it was his 25th anniversary. I saw the major game announcements and i loved it. I been with this series ever since discovering the history, games, lore, and much more. I hope more people get involved with the franchise and look at the good side and love it.

Yeah Sonic 2 was my first game too. I got it Christmas 1993 when I was 5. I had no idea what video games even were so my mind was blown.

I've been a Sonic fan since I was like 7, but that's not saying much, as I'm only 14. When I was a kid, I used to play the Mega Collection for the Game Cube, but it wasn't until recently, when I bought Sonic Mania, that I got back into Sonic. Afterwards, I bought Sonic Adventure 2, and played 8-bit Sonic 1, Sonic advance, Sonic rush, and Sonic Generations. I've always wanted to chill, and just talk about Sonic, and now I can!

As far as 8 bit goes Sonic 2 and Sonic Triple Trouble are good ones! I'd recommend those too.
