Yeah seriously Blaze the cat is my favorite. ^^ Ever since Rush came out.
I'll safely ignore her Sonic '06 incarnation though.
(I just pretend that game doesn't exist, and I'm happier for it.)
She's a bad ass, the first female with a super transformation (burning technically, but still, it's pretty cool she has her own emeralds.)
She's a tough girl, a princess, a guardian and a cat! She's also one of my top favorite colors, purple! ^^ She's sadly very underrated though.
But I got some of her toys in our Sonic collection. My boyfriend got me both the Jazwares and Jakks Pacific figures, the plush, a mug and note book and a couple tee shirts. ^^ They need more Blaze merch right meow.

I don't see why that stereotype is so bad. She just had a fat crush on Sonic and that happens with adolescent kids all the time. -

I like Amy, I think my favorite incarnation of her is in the Sonic Boom series though.
But I think she is growing as a character. I like that her classic incarnation is getting some shine too, it would have been nice having her playable back in the Genesis days but it is what it is.
Trip is a nice new addition to the female roster as well. -

Oh ho ho ho. I've been meaning to share this little opinion of mine in forever. My favorite is Princess Sally Acorn from Archie Comics. I find her not only visually pleasing (not like that) and characteristically pleasing. Ever since the first bonus story she was in, Everything that is Old is Newt Again from November's 1992 four part miniseries. Her design goes to show that she was meant to be Sonic's romantic interest. Although her design drastically changed over the course of #15, #30, # 34, #99, and #102, she's kept the same character. Her personality is typical of a Sonic character, as she is the leader of the Freedom Fighters. She's the glue holding the group together.
Until her roboticization in #230. Despite there being only about 20 or so more canon issues in Archie, this arc hit hard. The big cheese had become the enemy. This was a sad time for all Sally fans.

Outside the games and Amy, sally acorn is my favorite. Also she got roboticised in issue number 29 as well. -

there's quite a few female Sonic characters I like, but there's two that I would consider my favourite but I can't put one over the other sorry! my two favourite girlies are Whisper the Wolf and Clove the Pronghorn, but I'll talk abt just Clove in this thread bcuz I'm sure quite a few ppl don't actually remember her from Archie since the Eggman's dozen arc was one of the last arcs in Archie Sonic before it unfortunately got cancelled

anyways! Clove was an Egg Boss in the Northamer Region with her younger sister Cassia, who has a fatal illness and is the reason Clove is an Egg Boss in the first place, Clove thought that Eggman could cure her sister's illness and stayed loyal to the Eggman Empire so her sister could continue to receive treatments; Clove's sister has her ears and nose cyberized and other supporting areas due to her illness affecting those areas but at first glance you would assume she is totally cyberized/roboticized
unfortunately Eggman isn't "that kind of Doctor" as he reveals to Clove after her sister falls ill again after a confrontation w/ Bunnie (which is also a really good story) and Clove realizes she has to stay loyal to Eggman in order for her sister to continue living bcuz Eggman can shut down her cybernetics at any time (which everyone in the Eggman Empire basically has so he can control them) and stop giving her treatments to delay her condition
basically the reason Clove stood out to me at the time, and the Egg Bosses arcs in general was a lot of them weren't outright bad ppl, a lot of them have their own reasons for joining the Eggman Empire and a lot of it was safety for their homes, families, and friends, Clove doesn't like violence and she's really just trying to do what she thinks is best for her sister and I felt awful when she was trying to save face in front of Cassia when she says that when she's done treatments they can just leave the Eggman Empire together and Clove realizing that won't ever happen
... and then that was kinda it for both them after that bcuz Archie got cancelled, I think that feeling of never knowing what would've happened to them has haunted me to some degree; a lot of Archie characters and their stories won't even be finished any time soon and I think that's why I dwell on Archie as much as I do
lowkey this was an excuse to talk abt Eggman's Dozen, my favourite arc in Archie Sonic but she also is my fave female character aside from Whisper so... thanks for reading!

Obviously with my profile pic, I'm a fan of Mina Mongoose from the Archie comics, but I think that my favorite female character overall is probably Nicole. I'm not too familiar with her characterization post-reboot, but I love how she's written in the later pre-reboot continuity, especially once she is in control of New Mobotropolis. That and the backup story from issue 151, Stargazing, which shows how she wants to be and is more than a computer is amazing -

For me, I'd say Tikal and Blaze are tied. Tikal's an interesting character and I think she has a lot of potential, and Blaze has always stood out from other sonic characters thanks to her personality, to keep it brief.
