Whether it's Sports, platformers or first person shooters. Everyone has a type of gaming they like, probably more than one genre. There are many gaming genre's I like, but my favourite is RPG's. Games like The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion and Dragon Age Origins were great to playthrough and it was good to explore their worlds, although Dragon Age Origins is limited, as you have to pick different areas from the map. Days Gone is another great game to explore, it has a level system so I guess it is an RPG too. Also what I like about RPG's is you don't have to go through just the main stories, you could do just parts of the main plot, then do some side quests and return to the main story later in the game.

What is your favourite gaming genre?

Gonna expand on yours and say JRPGs. Anything from Final Fantasy, to something like Golden Sun, which I beat recently. I also finished the first Phantasy Star last night (I'm a big PSO nut and wanted to play the originals to see how they were similar/different) and I loved it. Really modern-feeling RPG which is impressive considering it's one of the first - it burst onto the scene a week or two after Final Fantasy did, I think.

Anything with a lot of grinding and numbers to go up has me sold

This is hard. I like so many genres but it’s a close choice between platformers and horror games. I might have to give it to platformers though. I love games such as Ratchet and Clank, Sonic obviously, and most recently Astrobot!

RPG's are the ones I tend to play the most, Action or otherwise.
Outside of that I would say RTS but that genre seems to be dying off nowadays.

Oh this is easy. Fighting games rule! Be it Smash or Street Fighter. Injustice 2 is one of my favorites.

I used to be so into Tekken. It’s all my dad and uncles would play so I naturally played with them. I just play casually though. I get destroyed in fighting games. Lol it’s hard to get into them because online everyone is hardcore and unless you have friends who play it they won’t want to play because you can beat them every time.

I main with Kazuya who Is my favourite character. I am not to bad playing online fighting games. I do still get destroyed online half of the time My first Tekken game was on the PS1. I played a lot on Tekken 1 with my family back In the 90's It was fun back then. I've played all Tekken games so far

Metallix, you said you like horror? I've been getting into some of the old PS1 survival horror stuff. Dabbled in Resident Evil 1 and 2 and while they're not massively scary as much as something like, say, Silent Hill, I really enjoyed what I played and I think I've developed a fondness for the genre. Add that to the list.

Horror is another genre of games I like. Resident Evil is my favourite series from the horror genre. The original RE1 on the PS1 can still be scary, once you return to the mansion and you have to fight the hunters. They even returned in RE3, and you also had to fight Nemesis too. As for Silent Hill, I don't think the series is as good as the RE series, but I do agree the first game was more scarier than the RE games on the PS1.
