It's either going to be incredibly weird live action stuff or incredibly out-of-place CGI stuff, or a combination of both. Either way I can't see this as anything other than taking the piss tbh. If Ben Schwartz does his Jean-Ralphio voice I'll officially know this is a joke.

That I’m not worried about. Lots of movies these days use a live action/cgi mix. Almost every Marvel movie does it. It can be done well.

Honestly, I was hoping Roger Craig Smith was going to do the voice of Sonic, because whenever a new Sonic show airs whoever does the in game voices reprise their roles in the show too. It makes me wonder if we'll get a game based around this movie...
Haha I guess that’s true. No way it’s as bad as the SMB movie. Or Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. Lol

Like less cartoony and you see each individual quill instead of just a couple giant ones and more animal like? Do you think they’d go that route? Would you even like something like that?

If nothing else I'd probably see the film just to see how he pulls that off. Ben Schwartz is interesting, though. I kind of just assumed they'd stick with Roger since Sonic will be animated.
My expectations for this have always been low by virtue of being a video game movie, but we'll see how things go.
