I only played a little bit of Tekken 2 & 3 at a place called Nickel Arcade.

Apart from Tekken there were other good fighting games on the fifth generation consoles. Street Fight Alpha 3 is a good game, and one of my favourite Street Fighter games on the PS1. Another game what I thought was good, but pretty tough on the PS1 was In Cold Blood.

This era was an absolute blast and even though Saturn was discontinued early, it was still a good console but a bad era for Sonic. There was no real Saturn Sonic at all except for R which wasn't a platformer.

Marvel VS Capcom 2 was AMAZING! Mega Man vs Capt. America is burned into my mind!

I loved this generation for the 3d platformers. This was the generation where almost every company had some 3d platformer being made.

Anyone find this era of games to be extremely difficult?! I must have gotten used to the hand holding games do today but these games can be way harder than today and not just because of bad controls.

I think the lack of checkpoints is a key player in why it's harder. Made a mistake 99% through a level? You have to go back to the beginning!

The hardest games for me were the fighting ones. The computer difficulty, even at the easiest, was somehow painful to even play!

I mean, I only beat Marvel VS Capcom once, and I didn't even beat it! All I did was get to the final boss!

I usually played those on easy or normal. On Hard, Ultra Hard, or Insane Hard I could never beat it and it's even worse playing online these days but that's another story. Lol
