"fair point. he's clever, you gotta give him that much. I'll check around the ice caps, for a shard, if I can't find anything I'll head to the Oil Ocean, due to how big both areas are, there's a high chance I'll find a shard." Bonfire stated while sounding annoyed, after, Bonfire went to the highest point on the island, jumped, and glided away.

And so, the assault on the pyramid base began. Tails went to scout ahead for the entrance, while Sonic and Seg infiltrated the base. Eventually they made it to the center of the based when they were blocked by a huge door that needed three keys. Knuckles was dispatched to find them in the Death Chamber (although he hates not looking for actual treasures like, say, 3 Master Emerald shards.)

*Fang decides to look for shards, just in case there ARE some nearby...*

Unfortunately, all there were to be found were keys. 

And a big scary ghost by the name of King Boom Boo.

Seg's eyes widened. "I sense....Chaos Energy. Negative Chaos Energy. Oh....oh no...."

Seg's heart raced. "He's here too..."

"You mean...Scourge?" Shiro asked. 

"Y-yeah. That guy," Seg replied.
