posted on the various Official Social Media accounts, including Youtube, we have some new footage comparing the old and new versions of stages appearing in SxSGens
in the video we can see Final Chase, Bullet Station, and Kingdom Valley! it's nice getting to see a one-on-one comparison of the stages so far, how does everyone feel abt them?

awe, thank you! I'm trying my best to keep up w/ information despite my busy schedule at the moment, but I'm glad its helpful to ppl on the forums!

Looks great but reminds me how I dislike Shadow's new running animation. New as in since Heroes. SA2 had his skating animation going fast but ever since then it has been slower and I don't like it as much. -

Oh, huh, guess I'm not the only one with a preference for such a thing as Shadow's skating animation.
My issues with SxSG's skating animation is less the speed of it and more the flow. Like Shadow snaps to his next pose instead of smoothly grinding through them. Which is actually why Heroes has my favorite skating animation for Shadow since he feels really floaty with that, and distinct from Sonic, which can be said for Adventure 2 as well.
Now that I think about it, I think I could write a whole essay on Shadow's skating animations and why the one from SxSG looks a bit underwhelming despite having nothing wrong with it on the surface. How previous games make Shadow a unique character to play just from presentation alone...
I mean, I don't have the attention span to do that, but there's a thought!

Limited Run Games has announced a Collector's Edition for Sonic x Shadow Generations! (@ sonic_hedgehog on twt/X)
Pre-Orders for this Collector's Editon are open from August 19-October 6, link to Limited Run Games' listing here, consoles available are Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC! as someone who has pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition on Steam, this is still really nice and I might consider picking up this Collector's Edition for Switch! really glad to be seeing this since everyone really wanted some sort of Collector's Edition on par w/ the JP version

They could not be spoiling us any more with this game's marketing.
This is an actual dream bundle. Particularly excited with the Dreamcast jewel case. But I also find the Chao figurines interesting because of how Chao are sneaking themselves into promos. The thumbnail for the game's summer fest trailer has Chao added to the render, one of the screenshots in the SxSG site show Chao floating alongside everyone else in the Sonic's birthday party scene of the game, and now we have three figurines of the little thing to the collector's edition...
Now, it might just be because I got Chao in the mind from recent addiction to Adventure 2's Chao Garden, but I can't help but notice the Chao sightings. Also for the fact rumors have been spreading around that this game will have some sort of Chao side-content. Though they're just that, rumors, and Chao may only have been added to promos like this because they're cute and marketable but... I wanna believe! -

we've got another new trailer! shadow's got new powers, they've shown some more stages, AND metal overlord's coming back for a new boss fight.
i love that they've gone fully alien for some of shadow's powers, it's SUPER cool. and it's always good to see metal sonic! -
