we've got another new trailer! shadow's got new powers, they've shown some more stages, AND metal overlord's coming back for a new boss fight.
i love that they've gone fully alien for some of shadow's powers, it's SUPER cool. and it's always good to see metal sonic!
I thought I would've made it in time to post the video myself but I've been beaten to the chase!
I'm really glad we finally got a trailer abt the Doom Powers, ppl have been wanting to see what else Shadow would have as extra abilities, especially after the wings were shown off at the end of the previous trailer with no gameplay! that being said, there's also supposed to be a demo of SxSGens at gamescom rn so I wonder what differences will be in that demo compared to the previous one we've seen already at gamesfest
I absolutely was not expecting Neo Metal Sonic/Metal Overlord to ever make a return, but I also think it's really fitting that he comes back for Shadow's campaign, since the boss fight rn looks like it mirrors Perfect Chaos' in a way, surfing around a destroyed area on water -

heh, what can i say? i get pretty excited about shadow news.
oh wow, i never would have even considered it mirroring perfect chaos's fight, but you're absolutely right that it does. it would make sense in that case why they chose to put him over water when that wasn't a part of the original metal overlord fight. that's pretty cool!
and there's something else i noticed. at the end of the trailer, there's a voiceover of shadow saying "i am the true ultimate lifeform" as it shows shadow fighting metal overlord. it seems like a reference to neo metal sonic copying shadow's lifeform data in heroes, and it makes me wonder if that connection between them will play any role in the game, story or otherwise. it would definitely make the metal overlord boss more significant to shadow as a character if so. -

i am breaking my sacred code and actually getting a little excited for this game now. the level design in this trailer and how it utilized the powers was extremely extremely promising. and it looks like we're at around seven zones now? since we know they have first and second acts (plus whatever chao missions they were talking about) that is rapidly approaching standalone-game levels of content. great stuff -

Not sure but that was a cool trailer and cemented it as one of my most anticipated games. It's not just a few levels tacked on to an old game, this is meaty. -

I'm still annoyed that Chaos Island is in this game. The Time Eater is supposed to have eaten the past, not the future.
