The Pyramid
So was the next room revealed to the three remaining lads who's now on the lookout for the ladies and gems. Adrian took a quick glance across the writing, shrugging in denial. He wasn't blind, as he too could see the image before him and Marcus.
"If I'd known, I wouldn't waste much time in here, as none of us can tell... obviously."
Past inhabitants, the indigenous folks or specifically the dragons which they've encountered could probably say more about this. Dennis isn't accounter for, and he doesn't use their language, no offense, but he's not as knowledgeable as their cousins, but they sure ain't just for hunting for game, clearly Dennis have proven that by now.
The room which they had entered was filled with architectural facades, and miniature statues in various forms, whether some warrior in his fighting stance, or draconic creatures, who seemed to have been a major part of this place once back in it's time. Must've been some powerful villain being able to turn their kind almost extinct. Glad whatever did this compelling feat didn't succeed with their task.
Another door on the opposite side, clearly wanting them to carry on searching this pyramid. At least so far, this has proven no where near as lethal like their last encounter. At least his and Scarloc. Then again, there's Angela and Tanya missing, surely they shouldn't be pondering on what's back then, or what could potentially be in the future, rather focus on their task at hand.
"Come now, let's see what's on the other side of this next door, shall we." Referring to both Marcus and Dennis. They might need their wits again figuring out how to unlock this next door, but surely with some light illuminating this part.
In fact, what looked like a handle attached not at one place, but two. It's clear this was intended for two. Shrugging both shoulders, looking at Marcus.
"Worth a shot, won't you think.... Dennis if for whatever reason something decides to come through that door.. would you be so kind showing who's boss." Clearly giving the wyvern a boost of confidence if nothing else.
The Plains beneath the Volcano
The rocks merely infuriating, as the giant undead with weapon at hand, tried to cleave sideways, in a devastating effect slicing all short-legs and if nothing else crippling the dragon in the process. It was a slow move, enough that the dragon merely had time acknowledging the foolish felines coming in-between, and what few seconds using a knockover move, releasing all it's fury in a forward charge, the weapon which the monster had equipped had only reached halfway, when it realised it's mistake.
It was a success, as it tumbled backwards falling flat on it's butt, cracking it's head in one of the tree's which happened to be there in that second. Imagine such a force you'd get from a truck nailing an idle standing car, it's tremendous.
Yet even this didn't seem to hinder it from continuing what it came for.
As it quickly tried to shrug off the pain by moving one of it's hands at the back of it's head. Meh! A mere flesh wound, clearly nothing scaring this creature from the dirt and mud it came from. The white dragon rather frustrated at this, clearly not willing to take up any more time. In fact, it was rather coincidental that it literally stared into the three felines, as if preparing them.
With a quick accelerating maneuver it used it's snout, flipping two of them over, until they landed upon it's spine, while Seth was literally clutched onto by it's hands, as it barely avoided the zombie monster's arm trying to reach for the dragon's tail, as it ascended with the three courageous, yet stupid warriors, as that's what they looked like when rushing in an enormous monster fight. Didn't their mother teach them nothing.
Seth had no chance of knowing as it all went in a blink of his eyes, such elegance, and so smooth, however he couldn't tell how ether Tom, nor Ethan felt, being used like catapult fodder, and likely having minor scratches between their crotch, also looking at this in an escalating view, as the creature tried reaching for them, while ether panicking or screaming being used as mere tools, even that, there's no safety clearance, as their literally watching this maybe from the wrong angle.
He wasn't sure whether to move, or stand still, he decided not doing anything as he was literally grabbed onto, not too tight, just enough that he felt his ribs crack ever so slightly. But that was just the jist of things. It's clear he or she was saving them, but couldn't he or she had warned them about this reckless move, now their all at least five thousand feet high above, as it makes a circular around the mountain, before using it's hind legs landing smoothly on the ground, at the highest peak.
The leopard was breathing intensely, never had he experienced such thrill, and fear for his life then he did right at this moment.
He tried to speak, upon wanting to ask the dragon why? But he merely ended with the simplest "thanks," as if he had nothing more to say.
No matter how intensified journey the other felines have had, at least they hadn't been sliding down, or falling helplessly into the certain death. After seen Ethan and Tom making it down from the dragon's back, Seth walked forth at least in his own phase.
"You okay there?" Probably the most stupidest question there was, as clearly they can't be, but hey at least they've distanced them self from the lumbering zombie ogre and them, for the time being. Surely it would be desperate if it would continue hunting for them all the way up here.
It was warm yet cool where they were standing looking out almost at the entire island which was before them. It was majestic, yet also terrifying there's a giant hole that plummet all the way down into the boiling pit of streaming lava. Clearly how unstable this mountain is, they shouldn't remain here for long, in case another earthquake or eruption would emerge. Though supposedly this dragon's knowledge on that subject might just prove insignificant, as it knows the inns and outs of the natural object which they so casually stands upon.
The white dragon had fortunately not abandoned them here like some sort of food for it's babies... Clearly not a female... right. And surely there's no sign of leftovers that would signify such. Instead it balanced on all four, on the most inaccessible edge for any normal living person as if looking whether the undead ogre was still to be seen.
