RE: Cast Ashore

A sudden awe as the creature naturally could speak.
Dropping the carcass, they immediately took upon it's request. Their leader made a short stroll toward his temporary hub, in his hand upon return, he held a book, seemingly ancient by it's cover. The title says "Legend of the Forefathers" handing it toward Tanya, who carefully took note of the first inscription that followed.
"Artifacts said to unleash certain spiritual creations can be found at the southern shores. However there's one important detail which these items don't show. Is that to release something which has already fallen, a sacrifice must be made."
Upon reading those few words, she knew this wouldn't be simply any treasure hunt, but one of them wouldn't return.
Looking to the leader, she looked concerned. "Quid sibi vult hoc exstat. Nonne est alius solutions", ("What's the meaning of this. Aren't there no other solutions.")
They both had a look at what it said, before looking dismissively toward the dragon.
"Apparently no. You still wanna go through with this?" Tanya wondered. Well it's obvious she didn't know the consequences walking with a spirit who's condition could much worsen as time goes. It's a risk perhaps not worth taking, but it's still a strong point to consider before leaving out on this journey.
Adrian had all this time concentrated on something entirely different, not out of disinterest but out of curiosity for whoever had filled whatever animal content. He thought only of what said information was on his sword.
Sliding down from the dragon's back, if only for a minute, he walked up to the leader, who's attention was of course elsewhere, meaning Scarloc.
"Tanya, may I ask if you could help me with something here?"
At first she wasn't sure what to respond with, thinking this better wait. But out of courtesy allowing their winged friend consider their next move, she took heeding of the wolf's request.
"Thanks...!" Wasn't sure what this was all about, but then she realized.
"You want to know about whether anyone has heard of ether your forefather or this dragon, am I right?" With a single nod in return, she looked to the second in command, knowing that the leader had no other concern then the dragon which is in place at this moment.
"Hoc nomine enim dicit aliquid ad te?", ("This name, does it say anything to you?")
Referring to both names imprinted on the sword which the wolf was carrying.
Baffled he urged to have a second look at a closer inspection if allowed too. Adrian wasn't exactly protective so handing out his sword without questioning wasn't to bad, after all he sought answers very much like his airborne friend.
"Come wolf-man." Surprised he knew their natural tongue, he accompanied the human toward what seemed like an altar at the center of camp.
At the same time, Tanya had returned her attention toward Scarloc, she wished there was some other answers about these gems, but it's obvious the solution comes with an unwanted bitter taste on her mouth.
The wolf looked at the man in action, as he literally attached the sword in what seemingly fit perfect with the shape on the stone. At first he tried to reach out for the weapon, as if unsure about what he tried to accomplish.
What felt like an eternity, the conclusion was that a short emitting glow transcended across the dead object.
A flash of imagery almost like a scenic theater show, it showed something the wolf could see, but him alone.
In front of him was looked like his own father, but the fancy jewelry, and explicit decorations upon the clothes had all been replaced by a wittered black man-suit.
"Hello Adrian... I knew you would one day stumble upon my sword, and for that I concur, you did good, abandoning your loyalties unlike my son, and so forth after his."
Adrian him self wasn't sure how to process what he was witnessing, nor could he fathom how his name was known, when he wasn't even considered at that time. Surely this is just a mere coincidence. He was sorely mistaken however, as this wasn't just images, but the one before him was indeed his great-great-great-father in the flesh, but in a spiritual commodity.
"You must have questions I'm sure, but let it know, I have little time to spare, and thus allow me to finish." A faint smile crossed his muzzle, upon receiving Adrian's acceptance. "You must find my companion, he is old, but compared to me, he doesn't age as well like we do." Faintly chuckling at his own impersonation of what their kind is compared to the ordinary living.
"I'm sure you've discovered his name by now. All you need is, locate my burial site, there upon the crystallized altar, chant his name three times, and let the magic flow."
A questioning expression filled the wolf's face, as he was already questing, now he needed to find the location of his great old father's tomb.
Fortunate, this wasn't the last. "Before I shall depart, know this that upon seeking out my old soulmate and friend, you may never return, so consider this carefully, as you and him have what it takes, but no matter your decision, I know you'll do the right thing... I wish I had lived in a different time and in other conditions, but unfortunate that's not the case, and thus I shall never be allowed to teach you a thing or two when the time comes. All I can do is give you a fair warning, this being doesn't trust anyone unless proven righteous. Also, if you don't mind, wish him good fortune from me, won't you."
At this time, the faint imagery only proved weaker as each second passed. He knew this would soon dissipate into nothing, but he had no idea as to where this burial ground is, and knowing the island's extent, chances on finding it on foot is equals none.
"Goodbye Adrian, I trust that you'll do the right thing."
"But.. but where am I to look?" Unfortunate time wasn't meant for further questions, none in fact, all he knew is that he now had a sole purpose, in which he would never be allowed to leave this island, unless ignoring his plight.. But he ain't his father, he couldn't care less for luxury and titles. If he can successfully adjourn his duties as royalty then so be it. Only problem is, he's not sure where to start looking.
The human looked concerned as if the world has seen a ghost.
"You okay there wolf-man." Which in return, Adrian was expressionless.
At least he retrieved his sword, before both parts made it back. As much he felt a big responsibility finding this creature, who he assume is like the legend says, a dragon of great personality. He wasn't going to turn down on his friend, who's helped him thus far uncovering the sword.
"So what has been decided my friend. Are we on route south?" The wolf asked.
