What is your ideal Sonic story, if you had the ability to choose and/or write it? Would you want a story more serious in tone like SA2/Shadow(or even more than those?), a lighthearted story like Colors, or somewhere in between like the movie? Maybe a very deep story or a shallow one just for an afterthought?

I would love a story that starts out with some of the light-hearted feeling, but then as it progresses, and rather quickly I might add, the stakes grow immensely, the tone shifts to serious and at times quite dark, and if you don't get the best ending, something important is lost in the struggle. If you DO get the best ending, there is still something emotional. Perhaps similar, yes, to SA2, only instead of implying the loss of a character only to later revive them like it's no big deal, we lost the character and that's that. Giving future installments a significant event to motivate characters in the future to perhaps fight for their fallen friend.

oh ho! I would love to write a story for Sonic and i would take inspirations from the 6th gen Era Sonic Games. Something alike the adventures games where there is a balance of light hearted sonic fun with subtle darkness

A balanced story would definitely be nice! Would you keep the tone relatively consistent? I do like that in older games it mostly remained consistent, where as some of the modern takes kind of feel jerked around at times. Forces felt like that a little to me, watching the storyline.

Forces writing made me cringe to be honest, it felt as though they are very condescending to the player like they did with most of Colors. I felt insulted thb, like they aren't treating me with respect.

I want to have a balance of good nature fun with dark tones mixed within,

I agree with that and the most heinous offense was the writing of supporting characters. This has been mentioned to death already but Tails cowering yelling to Sonic to help him in front of Chaos was just an insult to his character.

Indeed! The weirdest thing about it is that they suggested that Tails went insane with guilt after Sonic's 'demise', but they barely show any of that when he is on screen. Just like when they said that Sonic was tortured for 6 months, yet he is totally fine without showing any side effects of him being in prison for a long time. I know that this is suppose to be a Rated E game, but when you bring up such topics such as torture, trauma, loss of loved ones, death, and war, even if all of that is implied, it should be treated with respect and how it affect the story and characters.

I hope that they would not revert to this in the next game with Colors-eques style of writing that panders to the kids.
