  Just out of curiosity how far off the end are we now? Things look like they're getting a little endgame-y.[/quote]Endgame certainly feels near, but I have no idea how actually far off it is. Losing the assets has changed my plans some but we're definitely in the second half of the story.
  
  The story's about to have a weird side-bar to sort of soft reboot things, and after that the characters will be exploring more of Sonic Blast itself. I feel like I wrote myself into a corner over the years, but I'm not gonna outright retcon things as much as just elaborate.
  
  With the updates being posted on here again, I'm gonna try to reign back on the ritz/Amy backstory until I actually get that stuff figured out. I feel like the strongest moments of the comic are when things happen organically out of the interactions. It's always fun to play with mechanics revolving around the forum itself, which at this point is very nostalgic for me.
  
  Act 3 was made over a single summer and with the sole imput of my friend who had never been on the forum, which is why the tone changes.
  She actually did some art for the story though! Particularly Amy's sprite and ritz current look. Those sprites are the basis for what I'm working on right now.
  
  Chaos could even return at some point. I know I really went all out killing off characters in Act 3 and 4 but at the time I felt like I needed to narrow down the cast. A lot of people ended up being glorified cameos and I never really got their personality across. Now that I'm back on the forum though I think it'll be a bit easier to duplicate the characters mannerisms and unique traits.
  
  Sorry for all this wordy vague rambling lmao. I'm deep in the asset making phase and re-reading the story has given me lots of things to think about.

  It's really up to you. Admittedly a fair bit has changed since you were last actively updating this - most notably most of the featured cast not really being around any more. And I suppose the Shack as it was no longer exists either. I guess Void won after all. Heck, even my role's been revised from group peacemaker to resident grump. Were Chaos to return this would probably be a prime time to update him, but I never did stick to my art lessons and doodle that redesign. But ultimately I'm not fussed: do whatever works the best for the story.
  
  And honestly characters being glorified cameos is a common affliction of any comic that includes a cast submitted by a community. I was guilty of this myself because it's really tricky to focus on 20+ lead characters. A smaller group is easier to follow as a reader too so I really don't blame you for trimming it down a bit.

  I've gone through the entire MSPFA mirror and done some edits. Particularly towards formatting, but some parts were more extensively rewritten to be easier to read.

  ( By the way, I'm glad this comic is still going.
  Before I made an account I was a little unsure, I saw this comic and I learned a lot about the site, and that was what ultimately convinced my to join.

  Hah, I'm not sure if Shackstuck is the best guide for what the forum is about, but it certainly encapsulates the kind of nonsense we got up to in its prime. Good times.

  (this update is a bit of a messy one. picks up after my last post. features links to the commands taken from this topic, and when to read them. you'll also just come across them naturally by following the "==>" link all the way through. Excuse the story diversion. I wanted to do some fun silly stuff while i worked on other assets in the meantime.)

  I've gotta say that your animation quality really improved over these last few updates. The vanishing "snop" was buttery smooth. New ritz spirte looks nice as well.
  
  Also if we're in 2006 again does this mean ritz and co. have to avoid their past selves lest space time doom befalls them? I expect at least one Back to the Future reference.
