I've seen this posted on social media recently that there's rumors going around that we're getting a Sonic CD remake. It does make sense seeing how Sonic 4 is supposed to be based on Sonic CD, so if there's any time to make a Sonic CD remake it would be now since Sonic 4 wrapped up filming. However as much as I love Sonic CD, I hope we're not getting a remake. We already have the 2011 Taxman/Stealth remaster via Origins and that's the best way to play the game IMO. Do we really need a Sonic CD remake?

My guess is that the guy being interviewed was either thinking about the 4th Sonic movie being based on CD, or thought the 2011 remake was something new.

That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to a CD remake with a hand-drawn artstyle.

Hand-drawn would be awesome! If it's like Sonic Superstars I'd still play it but would not be as excited. 2.5D is okay for a new title but not a remake imo.
