We just got the announcement trailer for the new Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and boy is the hype real.

Loads to be excited about in this trailer, like the playable characters which include Cream (finally getting her driver's license after missing out in Team Sonic Racing, though I severely still wish it was Vanilla driving with Cream in a little sidecar), Jet and Sage in a little Titan car!

Also what looks to be Dinosaur Jungle from Secret Rings and Metal Harbor from Adventure 2. Though I'm personally more excited about this "Chao Park".

Though the big highlight here is serious, it looks like they're bringing back the vehicle transform mechanics from Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, and something I noted as well is that some tracks seen in this trailer and Steam screenshots looks scarily similar to the ones from Transformed as well. Which is great actually, since I consider ASRT to be one, if not the greatest racing game of all time, so to see they're bringing back elements from that gives me hope that this will be some quality stuff.

The trailer also showcases brand new monster truck and Extreme Gear vehicle transformations as well, which look to be items you can pick up, assumedly like the All-Star moves in the ASR games? And frankly, I've no idea what those big warp rings entail from a gameplay standpoint right now.

I've never played Team Sonic Racing both because it's little on the expensive side and I bet my computer can't run it, though I've heard that game was pretty underwhelming. And while I most certainly won't be able to play this one as well, I'm hoping that the re-use of ASRT elements means that this game will be at least as good as that.

I LOVE racing games and have been wanting a proper modern Sonic racing game for years now. I'm usually about being cautiously optimistic, but I want to believe in this one. I need this to be a good game!

    I REPEAT.

SAGE IN A LITTLE TITAN CAR!

To mess this up would be an upset.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is one of my favorite games ever, and this looks like a proper sequel. I wonder if they will incorporate more Sega characters or just keep it strictly Sonic. Those rings in the trailer had me think for a second that maybe they are warps to other tracks, like maybe several tracks will bleed into one long one. Makes the title "Crossworlds" make a bit more sense.

It looks amazing! My son has been playing a lot of Team Sonic Racing lately and he will love this! I saw a lot of Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart-like portal traveling in this. That was pretty cool!

It is interesting that it isn't being made by Sumo Digital though. Hopefully they have a team worthy of the task!

Can't wait to see what this is about! (And buy it at lowest price. >:3) I hope they bring the Team Fortress 2 cast back in.

I didn't even consider that, but given how both OG Riders and Zero Gravity had a few SEGA guest characters as unlockables, it's totally in the realm of possibility that they could throw in an Aiai or Ulala in the roster as a treat. I highly doubt it but I'm still crossing my fingers for some classic SEGA representation for old time's sake.

It certainly looks interesting. I just hope the story doesn't go off the rails.

Did anyone get into the beta? I didn't even realize you could sign up so I didn't get it but there is footage out there on YouTube.

I'm super excited for this game- the huge roster of playable characters is awesome, and the graphics look really good as far as i can tell from the trailers

Same here and my son is crazy excited, Team Sonic Racing is one of his favorites. I recently got Racing Transformed for PS Vita to see what the hype is about and that game is pretty awesome too.
