So, it's just around the corner! It launches on September 14th, who's picking it up? I've only played the first DQ and DQ8, but I loved those to death so I'm definitely going to get it as soon as I can. Unfortunately, the Blu-Ray drive on my PS4 is completely fried so no physical copy for me...

Either way, should be an awesome game, and I can't wait!

I’m actually really looking forward to it. Seems to be the first real big DQ since VIII at least here in the West. I really liked Builders but I also like traditional jrpgs. They’ve even updated it with voice acting since the original Japan release.

That's cool. Yeah, I've heard stories of around the release of DQ3 on the Famicom. Word says that kids were getting bullied out of their copies and people on bikes would ride past and snatch games out of people's hands.

^ that happens on Yakuza 0 lol. It’s based in the 80s and a mission has you recovering DQ3 for a kid who got mugged for it. Never played it but watched that on YT.

As for DQ XI I wish the 3DS version was also being released outside of Japan but I’m getting a PS4 soon so I’ll see what all the hype is about.

Here’s the review that convinced me to get the game. So far I’m loving it!

Tempted definitively picking it up, as I was admit skeptical about it being released by Square Enix. 
But apparently it's been pretty good praised by Steam users, which is a bonus to say the least, and I do enjoy my JRPG's, specially when it's turn based.
After seen one review, praising it to the heaven, it's absolutely a worthy pick for this month.

Sorry for the late reply! Nah, I haven't picked it up yet, and probably won't until I get my hands on a new PS4. Playing through VIII to fill the void, though. The game looks phenomenal, and I guess it'll just make the wait all the more worth it
