I think it's because I've used forums all my life and used MyBB a lot in the past so know what to look for. Maybe if a newbie came on who isn't familiar with forums that may be different. 

Have you considered setting up a Welcome PM with a guide to help newbies out?

We used to have one, that's a good idea though. It never hurts to have more ways to inform people. We have the FAQ page linked at the top but a PM would be great too. Thanks!

I think the higher ranks should also use custom fonts if that's possible.

I updated the colors of the higher ranks. Super and Hyper get sparkly names now.

Super and hyper getting sparkles like in the game is pretty cool.

I've added new ways to level up! Now post counts aren't the only way to level. You can level up with topics, time spent online, and referrals! Referrals are when someone registers, they can select a user that told them about the forum to log them as a referral.

This way, if you aren't a big poster but you contribute by making new topics, being online and reading the discussions, or bring new people on board you can keep ranking up or use it as a means of ranking up faster.

I need to get some referrals to rank up quicker! Really cool this makes leveling up easier/quicker than just posts. Although I would have to create a lot of topics to upgrade.

Haha, it only works during registering. You would have to sign up a bunch of new phone alts.

I'll finish the rest tonight but I think I will redo some of the upgrades for topics but at the start, it really can help you move up fast and referrals can make you jump way ahead.
