i love 'angel island' as it just looks great, but studiopolis is pretty good too!

I'm trying to get at least a A-Rank Guardian by the end of this month, and get that orange. -

I find myself using studiopolis a lot when I'm browsing, plus it matches my icon and banner so I like it a lot
if I have to do any heavy reading I either use firefox's built in reader view or simple sonic, especially when I'm on my phone. default and shadow blade are really nice too though even though I'm not really someone who uses darker coloured themes
do you mind if I ask what all goes into making a theme? I'm really curious abt the process -

I really love Studiopolis a lot; it's not too bright and the colors are really nice.
Despite liking the darker themes, something based off Ice Cap or Sky Sanctuary would probably look really cool. If not that, maybe the Death Egg. I do love all the work that has been put into these themes, they're very lovely to look at. -

Things probably are different for a professional. I found a blue/black theme a long time ago and modified it to be my own, it was the base color but I changed the graphics.

When it comes to new themes, I generally work on the category header first. I just duplicate an existing theme and slowly change everything over working on header and colors first and then the rest of the graphics. It usually takes a lot of fine tuning for me. For instance the default theme I don't think I have ever not refined it over the 18 years.

We actually had an Ice Cap theme but when we converted to new software, I didn't redo it because it was a bit lower quality. I would need to redo it from the ground up. Sky Sanctuary would be cool with its vibrant colors.
