What Sonic game do you feel had the best split screen 2 player?
Sonic 2 was decent but it didn't have every level in split screen so I felt it was pretty bare bones. Sonic 3 had original stages but I felt they were too short and not that good.
If I had to pick one probably Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. They really upped the ante on 2 player in that port. -

I haven't played much of the multiplayer of Sonic games (mostly because my brothers don't seem to want to play with me). The one multiplayer Sonic I have played was the Sonic and the Secret Rings multiplayer. -

Nothing compares to Sonic Adventure 2 Battle's multiplayer, as SA2B is just a legendary game in every way. I mean, you got three different gameplay styles, with four different characters to pick in each, and there's at least a dozen stages in each one. Then add in Chao races and Chao karate, and the kart racing mode, and you got yourself a fun way to spend an evening with a friend.
Honorable mention to the Riders series, the All-Stars Racing/Tennis games, and Secret Rings as well. All of those games offered quite a bit of split-screen fun as well. -

I think SA2, but the only 2 player game mode, was battle.

I would say that Sonic Mania had the best multiplayer aspect, you can play co op in game the normal game(also encore mode) or vs. two player split screen. That or i would pick Sonic 3. -

@ I forgot about the multiplayer in that and honestly I never have tried it. Hmmm.... Maybe I'll SharePlay it on PS4 to play online with someone and see how it is.
