The Two Truths and a Lie Game
Infinite > 10-24-2020, 02:35 PM
So I was watching a video that was about Two Truths and a Lie and thought, "Hey, this would make a fun game for the forums. Let's do it!" So here I am making this thread.
The rules are simple, you tell two truths about yourself as well as a lie. The next person replies with what he/she thinks is the lie and tells two truths and a lie about himself. Now then, let the games begin!
Find the lie:
I am a writer for a college newspaper
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is the first M-rated game I've ever played and beaten.
I never bought a SNES -

Hmm, I think the second statement about the M-rated game is false. I've seen you make a lot of references to the Persona series, so I'm going to guess that a game from that series may have been the first M rated game you played. I know you love to write and you do a fantastic job, so I could definitely see you writing for a college publication or other publication. I'm not so sure regarding the SNES, but as it is a fairly old console with many modern alternatives to play its games I could see not having one. I personally don't own a SNES as I'm not that interested in most of the old Nintendo games, and a lot of them have alternative ways to play.
Find the lie:
My favorite holidays are Easter and Christmas.
I have played every Sonic game for the GameBoy Advance system.
I have had multiple paranormal experiences in my life. -

You are correct..... mostly. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag wasn't my first M rated game but neither is the Persona series. It's actually Resident Evil 4 for the GameCube. I indeed write video game reviews for a newspaper. The SNES one was to throw you off. I do own that console but I didn't buy it. My grandmother got it from a garage sale.
Your third one really threw me for a loop. I'm going to go with that one.
Find the lie:
My godfather introduced me to games like Sonic, Pokemon, and Kirby.
I watched the mummy trilogy when I was little.
The Leapster was my first experience with gaming. -

Ah that's really cool. I've never played Resident Evil but I've seen the movies, they were pretty good. lol I actually was thinking you might be doing something like that with regard to the SNES. That's a really cool garage sale find.
Actually, my second statement was the lie. I have played Sonic Advance 1, 2 and 3, as well as Sonic Battle, but I haven't yet played Sonic Pinball Party or Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis (GBA), or the Sonic X games for GBA. My third statement is true, but it is a long story. I might share that story in more detail here some day, but the extremely abbreviated gist of it is that I have had multiple mysterious experiences in my life, a subset of which were undoubtedly paranormal. I am a Christian, and the worst of these experiences happened during a previous time in my life when I had fallen away from the faith. I had made some very poor choices, some mundane and some esoteric, leading down dark paths that I thank God I am no longer on. At the time, I did not understand the danger, depth, gravity or nature of what I was doing. I understand now, and hope to use my knowledge and experience to help others escape dark systems and paths to find the true Word of God, the message of salvation through Jesus Christ described in the Bible.
Out of your new statements... this is a tough one. I could see all 3 of those potentially being true, and potentially being false. However, my best guess is that the first statement is false as it does not line up with the information in your profile about how you first became a fan of Sonic thanks to your babysitters who owned a Gamecube. (Although admittedly I am unsure about this, as your babysitter could have been your godfather.)
Find the lie:
- I once walked / ran on a trail at midnight during a thunderstorm (not recommended to anyone)
- I have a black belt in martial arts, but have been out of practice for a few years
- I have gone hiking at mountains
- I once walked / ran on a trail at midnight during a thunderstorm (not recommended to anyone)

Okay, that makes a whole lot more sense. When I read "paranormal," I was thinking stuff like ghosts.
Yep, that's correct! I forgot I mentioned that in my profile though. Fun fact: my babysitters are actually daughters of my godmother.
Alright, I think it's the second one. The others seem a lot more likely than the second.
1. I didn't beat Sonic 2 or Spinball when I was little
2. I tried to learn Portuguese but gave up later.
3. I plan on introducing Super Fleetway Sonic as well as Nazo in Sonic and the Secret Rings 2 -
