Two days ago, SDCC happened (this time, it was "at home," because COVID and all). I was on Twitter and this happened to be the big thing that happened.
So, a lot of you might not know about G4. Well, allow me to explain.
G4TV was a cable TV channel dedicated to videogames, plain and simple. It started out as ZDTV, then TechTV, then G4TechTV before settling on G4TV. It had such awesome shows like X-Play, where hosts Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb reviewed videogames, Attack of the Show which Kevin Pereira got viewers on the inside track of the world of entertainment as a whole, Cinematech (which I loved the most out of all the shows!) which showed footage from videogames, and a bunch of other shows that I'm not going to talk your ears off about. Anyways, it was shut down in 2014 and replaced by Esquire network.
So in 2021, G4 is going to return in some kind of form. There is a 50/50 chance that it's going to be great, and an equal chance that it isn't. In a day and age where the internet provides everything in terms of news, especially about videogames, some people don't think that this is needed. Me, I have been DREAMING about getting to see G4 again. It would be a welcome change and something to look forward to come 2021.
So if there's anyone amongst =SB= that remembers G4TV, what do you think of this? Feel free to sound off.
