  No one makes a fool out of the ultimate mercenary! NOBDODY! URAAAAAA- *Phantom Ruby makes a warp between space and time causing SCS to return to the present* Excellent. *Takes the emerald and starts flying at top speed*

  *takes a moment to catch his breath* Darn! My plan was foiled. But never mind that... time to get serious! *removes both power limiters and surges ahead at 1/2 light speed, knocking the emerald away and running with it*

You will grow tired after a short while of the absence of the rings that limit you and that's.... *teleports to the exhausted hedgehog* when I'll strike! *Kicks SCS and takes the chaos emerald.* That felt good.... *continues flying*

  Hmmph, smart move. But quite unfortunately for you, I spy a hidden 100-Ring tucked behind a nearby rock... *grabs 100-Ring and immediately regains full power* time for a rematch! *Chaos Spears Infinite out of the sky* Aha, the Emerald is mine! And this time, I have backup! *Rouge appears and flys me and the Emerald far away as you lay in a daze, unsure which direction we left in*

Very well, two can play it at that game. *puts finger on ear-piece* Orbot, Cubot, locate SCS for me. *Infinite's mask begins to chart a map and shows a dot detailing the location of SCS* Riddle me this, rat. What's faster? A jackal that can fly faster than the speed of sound? *quickly reaches up to Rouge* Or one small bat carrying some dead weight? *shoots a huge amount of crimson cubes at Rouge making the two fall. Infinite grabs the emerald as the two try to recover.* This is your last warning. *puts the tip of the sword right beneath SCS' chin* Get in my way one more time, and you will understand the wrath of the Jackal Squad. *flys away with the emerald away from the two fallen opponents*

  *checks and makes sure Rouge is okay* Infinite, you will pay for that! If you wish to make this an all out war, so be it. I will fight until the very end. *Omega flys up, ready to join the fight* Team Dark, we must strike swiftly to overcome Infinite and his squad of mercenaries. *Rouge flys toward Infinite, throwing Bat Crackers* *Omega flys toward Infinite, unleashing the full power of his gattling gun* *I run toward Infinite, charging up a full-power Chaos Spear with no power limiters* CHAOS CONTROL! Face the wrath of TEAM DARK! *blasts Infinite out of the sky as he continues to be pummeled by the full force of Rouge and Omega's attacks* *steals the Emerald, and Chaos Controls the entire team to a distant, secret location* We are victorious for now, but we cannot stay here for long. He will undoubtedly check this place as it is near the site of our first great battle.

  *pants and tracks down Team Dark once more and creates a wormhole to it* Come, my Jackal Squad, we have business to take care of. *Before Team Dark notices, Infinite uses the phantom ruby to make Team Dark think they are still alone and have the emerald. A member of the squad takes the emerald and hands it to Infinite without any of Team Dark knowing and they return to the wormhole*

  Rouge, Omega, wait... something is not right here. *concentrates harder until I break through Infinite's illusions*. Infinite has taken the true emerald! You stay guard here in case he comes back, I am going to give chase. *chaos controls through a wormhole until the shimmering of red cubes can be seen in the distance* Hmmph! *uses a Shadow Eagle to close the distance and strike preemptively* *follows it up with a fully-charged Chaos Spear that knocks back the entire Jackal Squad, and sends the emerald flying into my hands* You cannot deceive me! *chaos controls away to an unknown location*
