I'm unsure how old most of you are, but let me see if I can smack you guys with nostalgia.
lol
Super Mario Bros. Z is basically a sprite series that Alvin Earthworm (Mark Haynes) did back in 2006, especially when Newgrounds was very popular back then. Previously, he was able to do up to 8 episodes before he calls it quits do to people pushing and rushing him to do more episodes and on top of his depression and feeling that doing the episodes is more of a chore rather than a hobby he enjoys.
Around 2015, he reveals that is doing a reboot of the series after clearing his mind and finding the joy of making sprite animations again. And in January of 2016, he released the reboot of Super Mario Bros. Z; attempting to make it like an anime format. And boy, it was a big difference compare to his older episodes.
However, in mid 2016, Alvin has faced alot of difficulties on his personal life, including when he created a Patreon for donations for the series and Nintendo took it down shortly after. So it leaves him discouraged and taking a break from continuing the reboot, which he is looking forward doing so. At one point, he disconnect himself to the internet for various reasons. As of right now, he is active on Twitter and there hasn't been a confirmation of him continuing the series after all of that happen when he posted the first episode.
So what are you thoughts about both the old and the reboot? Did you remember watching this sometime in the mid 2000s? Or later on?
