I'm so glad region locking is a thing of the past! I've imported games from Hong Kong and the UK. Driver 3 was a fun game but there were many glitches, it could have use a patch to polish it up. -

You would need a console from another country if you wanted to play imported games, or a modded one. One thing I didn't understand about games that weren't released worldwide, sometimes their sequels were. I have Xenosaga Episode II on the PS2, and I have never played it because Episode I and III weren't released in the UK. -

Dreamcast is one of my favorite consoles ever so I really loved this era even if I did not get them till later. I liked putting my chao on the vmu. -

This is the first generation that I would say has not aged much. I can still play RE4 on GC and still think the graphics are good even though they are far exceeded these days.
Sonic with his block hands on Dreamcast are a bit jarring to see though. -

Shape hands are underrated, man! Just look at Kirby's cute lil oval arms! They're adorable! Block hands give it a slight charm!

That's true, it adds character. Not to mention that overall the DC version had better graphics. DX upgraded the character models but things like lighting got downgraded.

I like Sonic's blocky shoes better too, rather than the blob shoes. The great thing is you can restore all of that with mods on PC and a potato could run them these days.

I think this was the last really massive jump in graphics. Going from N64/PS1 to DC was crazy. PS2 to PS3 and Xbox to 360 was a really good advancement but nothing shocking or out of this world. Now everything is even smaller of a change. We will never see such huge advancements in graphics again. -
