  It started with the Dreamcast then the PlayStation 2, then followed by the GameCube and X Box. I didn't get the Dreamcast and X Box until a few years ago, so at the time I had a PS2 and GameCube.
  
  The PS2 was great, some of my favourite game series continued on with Resident Evil Code Veronica X, and MGS2 & 3, also I could still play ps1 games, it also got me back into the Sonic series with Sonic Heroes. Although I did play Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter and Sly Racoon on the PS3 first as the HD Classics. I later got the original games for the PS2.
  
  The GameCube was great too with Super Mario Sunshine which is a good and underrated Mario game, also the two Sonic Adventure games were ported over and the Mega and Gems Collection was released on it too. I would later get Sonic Heroes again on the GameCube. But also there was Resident Evil Remake along with Resident Evil Zero and then Resident Evil 4. Later I got RE 2, 3 and Code Veronica X on the GameCube.
  
  What does any else think of the sixth generation consoles?

  Probably one of the best gen imo. Dreamcast killed it with original games that were really off the wall. I didn't get one until 2003 when it was already discontinued though. PS2 was just insane. The hype before launch will never be matched. People lining up three blocks for stores to open. It just was crazy and ended up being the best selling game system of all time at 156 Million. More than GC/Xbox tripled. Plus it was a HUGE leap in graphics. Going from PS1/N64 to Dreamcast was big. The first time I saw Gran Turismo 3 I thought games would never look better. lol
  
  GC had one of the best Resident Evils ever in the Remake.

  While my heart belongs to the 5th Gen, (N64 will always be my fav Console) I do have some fond memories of the 6th.
  Kinda forum related the 6th Gen would be the console that started my fascination with Sonic since the first game I owned in the series was Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on the Gamecube.

  The Dreamcast stands as my absolute favorite console of all time. It was so unique and creative in a way I hadn't seen again until the Switch.
  All those late nights playing Sonic Adventure and exploring the world was so euphoric.

  The Dreamcast is my most favorite console with the genesis being my second favorite, I bought one in 2000 and was hooked on games such as sonic adventure, shenmue, toy commander, soul reaver, dead or alive 2, crazy taxi, evolution 1 & 2, fur fighters and sega smash pack volume 1.
  
  My first time playing sonic was in 1991 and while it was great playing sonic games up to 1994 I truely thought sonic would never return and would be stuck on the genesis forever, seeing a 3D mario game in 1996 got me wishing for a 3D sonic game and it finally happened in 1999.
  
  Man I was so excited about the DC and watching a trailer of sonic adventure had me drooling lol for real I loved what I saw so much that my face was so close to store window that I left drool on it but quickly wipped it up after the trailer ended.

  One thing I liked about the sixth generation consoles is that you got the full game no DLC, although I have two games on the X-Box that might be DLC, Fable Lost Chapters and The Elder Scrolls III Morrowind Game of the Year Edition. Apart from those games and probably others too, you mostly got a full game.

  There are a few examples that are untrue about that but for the most part of a game had extras it was unlockable and not purchasable. I absolutely hate it when companies announce DLC before a game is released.

  I remember when I first got my PS2, the first two games I had were Ridge Racer V and Tekken Tag Tournament. I played Tekken Tag Tournament more. It wasn't a continuation of the Tekken story, I had to wait for Tekken 4 for that, but it was still a good game.

  I didn’t get one till later, 2002 so my first games were Tekken Tag and GTA3. I absolutely loved Tekken Tag!
  
  I don’t think any console will launch with the hype of the PS2 ever again. PS4 had big hype but it was nothing close to the PS2. It was legendary. I liked how games were more experimental back then too. Now days most big games are pretty cookie cutter. You have to go with lesser known games if you want a unique experience.

  It wasn't until 2004 when I got the GameCube And I think the Wii had hype behind it. One of the things I didn't like about the sixth generation consoles is you couldn't patch games. Driver 3 needed updating since I think it was unfinished. Another thing I didn't like was region locking, since many games weren't released worldwide.
