Semi Canon and Cancelled Characters

Does anyone have any favorite semi-canon and/or cancelled characters? They can be from games that were canned, to scraped concept characters, to characters that used to appear in mainstream Sonic media (like Archie or SatAM) but no longer exist for whatever reason.
Personally I liked Shade in Sonic Chronicles and it's a shame what happened to the planned sequel.
But I also liked Julie-su, I liked having a bad ass female counterpart to Knuckles. I used to enjoy their dynamic. It's just too bad they were scrapped or taken out of respective media. (I actually liked the idea that maybe Knuckles isn't the last echidna necessarily. Maybe there's more echidnas somewhere, but they're in another dimension or hiding out somewhere, or maybe scattered throughout Mobius. I know it's technically "Sonic's world" but I head canon it to be Mobius. Of course, I also headcanon that Mobius and Earth are different worlds...but I digress as that's a different discussion entirely).
I also wish Tiara and Honey would have had a chance to shine, though I'm a bit biased I suppose because they're both cats. Maybe they're really the prototypes for Blaze? Who knows.
