That's awesome, congratulations! How'd it go? I hope that you land the job.
You achieved the CompTIA A+ cert, right? How was the difficulty level for that? I'm currently working a job that's very technical but I worked my way up into it within the company, so I don't have any certs or degrees. Just a partial/unfinished college education that got put on hold for life reasons (including moving to a different state a few years ago). I'm interested in getting back into Computer Science education: was thinking about starting with a cert pathway (CompTIA A+ > Network+ > Security+) then using that to enroll in an undergrad comp sci program. Would bolster my ability to do my current job as well as possible and open up more opportunities for future work beyond what I'm doing now.
Would be interested to hear your thoughts or experience on this sort of thing, certs or otherwise. -

I feel like I choked when it came time for the interview, but I can't be sure, not yet. They said I should hear back one way or the other within the week,
A+ certification seemed fairly simple, but I went the opposite path of what you're planning: I got a (associate's) degree from a local college before I tackled the certs, and A+ seemed to cover many of the same notes that I had in my classes.
Pro tip: ask your company if they'll cover the cost of certification for you, as paying for it out of pocket is pricey!
EDIT: Oh, yeah, speaking of: Just because I got that far doesn't mean I stopped sending out applications, and another company I applied to reached out with an alternative opening they suggested as a software QA tester. Following up on that one because it's a bit more local and so I can have options. -

Sure! Well, you are right that most of the forums are kinda dead. I'll be honest, I haven't been very active either. But I can give you a rundown on where is where.
SO! The forums are divided into four categories: The Business Center, Downtown District, Bureau of Creativity, and Entertainment Square.
The Business Center is where announcements are posted and where you can post feedback.
Downtown District is where discussion of anything Sonic is made! Sonic Game Central is for discussions related to the games. Fangame/Mod Adventure Field is where mods and fangames are discussed. The Sonic Media Portal is the place if you want to talk about the Sonic shows, movies, music, or other media. The comics have their own little section called the Sonic Comics Emporium. And the Character Discussion Hub is quite self-explanatory and you can discuss the characters of the Sonic franchise. I have made a few character threads there too (I should make more of those).
The Bureau of Creativity is where you can post your own fan-creation, play roleplays, and play forum games. The Fan Creation Jungle has several sub-categories: Museum of Arts (Fanart), Fanfiction Theatre (Fanfics), The Comic Studio (Comics), and the Fan Media Village (Fan-made media). The Role Play Garden is for roleplays both public and private (there are sub-categories for those). And the Casino Park is for the forum games (which is my favorite part of the forums tbh
).
Finally, the Entertainment Square. Off-Topic Utopia is for topics that don't fit in the other categories I've mentioned before and after this one. Techno Base is where you can discuss topics related to technology, software, etc. Video Games: Press Start is for video games in general and we have two sub-categories. One for discussion and the other for posting reviews. And Media Castle is to discuss topics from other media like comics, movies, tv shows, manga, etc.
We also have the Sonic HQ which is our news site.
Any questions? -
Thanks for explaining

Hmmmmmm well, I think a good way is to get to know each other better. Participation is a key part. Fortunately, we have a lot of threads to explore and there are a ton of forum games that you can play.
