  Some rumors/leaks have emerged about Sony's next console from the same guy who accurately predicted that Sony won't be at E3 this year.
  I'll bullet-point the main tidbits.
  
  - Initial reveal middle of 2019 with a full reveal at the PlayStation Experience Event.
  -Console will be released in either March or November of 2020.
  -Price will be $500.
  -Will be built to accommodate PSVR 2, Which will have a built in camera and a Power Glove.
  - Anthem will be delayed to launch on PS5 (Either along side a PS4 version or instead of), Several other big PS4 games will also be available on PS5.

  $500? If that turns out to be true I guess I'll just be skipping this one. That's something close to like $700 bucks here and at that point I may as well just spend a little more and get a PC.

  The current PS5 rumors seems to be in line with some of the rumors I heard earlier this year.
  The fact they will feature a Ryzen style octa core processor (The rumors say it will be third gen Ryzen but if its on par with the R7 1700/1700X/1800X or R7 2700/2700X is unknown) and will offer AMD's Navi archetecture for its graphics will suggest that in terms of 4k it will meet 60FPS by standard as opposed to the upscaled method that the PS4 Pro does
  This is actually very good for a console and will on par with mid tier PC's (probably will match my current hardware or close to it) but its uncertain if Sony will make it backwards compatible for a change and play PS4 games.
  If it cant shame on Sony, there is no way in hell for any excuses now not to have backwards compatibility with the PS4 as that had a AMD processor too and was x86-64 compliant. Hell Sony with this kind of power it can easily play PS3 games with emulation and PS1/PS2 games too (as my computer can easily emulate PS3).
  You may have had some excuses for the PS4 not being backwards compatible but not now.
  Dont blow this Sony.

  I don’t believe it’ll be $499. Xbox got away with that only because it was a premium option with a cheaper model.
  
  The timeline makes sense though since they’re skipping E3.

  Personally I wouln't put it pass Sony to try that price point.
  They've gotten a case of the swollen head lately just like they were with the PS2 so it wouldn't surprise me at all that they would ask for that high a price and just expect the fans to fall in line.

  Eh I don't think there's any evidence of that. With the PS2 and especially PS3 they didn't care about developers and just expected them to make games for them. With PS4 they actually care about developers by making it easy for them to work on their platform and helping out smaller indies.
  
  $499 is a lot though. $399 in today's money is only $433 with inflation so it still is a bit more than 2013 even considering inflation. It all depends on what they actually include with the box. They have a tough decision to face. Make it $399 and it won't be all that powerful but $499 might be too much unless it's a beast and they have lots of games for it.
  
  I think going the route Nintendo did by making a bunch of Wii U games available for Switch was a good idea so if they have lots of PS4 games on PS5(or those PS4 games get a PS5 patch) that's a good way to give it a healthy launch line up.
