Alright, this is a thread to discuss Silver the Hedgehog.


Who is Silver?
Silver is a 14-year-old white hedgehog who was raised in a ruined future. He is devoted to fixing his future by righting the wrongs of the past. He debuted in the infamous "Sonic the Hedgehog"(2006) game. 

What can he do? 
He is gifted with the ability of psychokinesis which he can use to lift anything. Using Chaos Control, he is able to time travel. As a hedgehog, he is also gifted with super speed on both ground and air (yes, he can fly).

Theme song?
Silver's theme song, "Dreams of Absolution," is my favorite song in the entire Sonic franchise.

I always liked him as a character despite being tied to a poor game. Done right his gameplay would be pretty awesome.

But outside of games I think he's a great character on his own with cool powers and backstory.

Silver...poor Silver. He left a bad first impression in 06, i'm not gonna lie. I'm not sure how he was in Rivals 2, but he has done little to change my opinion in Generation and Forces. I don't hate him, but I find little to no reason to like him.

I love Characters In-Depth's Sonic videos. For me, even before I knew exactly what his personality was, I liked how Silver looked and his powers. A time-traveling psychic hedgehog? Yes, please!

Yeah I liked the premise of his character too, @ . And that was a great video, thanks for posting!

I used to sort of hate Silver back when I was young and naive because he just seemed like such a jerk in both Sonic 06 and the Rivals games. However, now that I am older, I really have come to appreciate him and a lot more and part of that is his improved portrayals in more recent games. I honestly thought he was super adorable in Team Sonic Racing and I also enjoy him in the IDW comics. As for his gameplay, I honestly had a lot of fun with him in 06 despite that game's unfortunate problems. I'd love to see that style of play return, but hopefully they can speed him up a bit.

Silver is really my favorite male hedgehog. I don't care how bad the gameplay was.

Rivals 2 as silver was fun! He floated through the levels! Gave it a good challenge with his weird stats. Alas, I main Shadow.

That is an underrated game for sure. I main sonic but will switch to the others sometimes.
