• Netflix Viewers Watched 82.1 Million Hours of Sonic Prime In First Half of 2023

  This week marks the release of Netflix' first "What We Watched" report, an effort to increase viewership transparency by publishing the total hours viewed of all series seasons and movies that passed 50,000 hours from January through June this year. As such, it's worth checking out how Sonic Prime did within Netflix' full slate of programs.
  
  The Netflix exclusive, Sonic Prime, only has Season 1 stats available since Season 2 was released shortly after the June cutoff for this report. However, in these six months, Sonic Prime was watched across 82.1 million hours. This doesn't quite pit Prime against Netflix' most popular dramas and thrillers, but it confidently ranks the series at about 137 on the entire list of over 18,000 seasons and movies.
  
  I feel Sonic is as strong as it has been since the early 90s, the movies and shows are doing incredibly.

  I was like 1000 of those hours. Serious though, good to see the series do so well on TV.

  I really enjoyed Sonic Prime, and I hope the statistics are enough for it to continue the show.
  I still need to watch Season 3. But I've enjoyed it so far.

  I did too and I'm happy it did really well in viewership, helps keep the franchise popular.
