Hey everyone, I'm Lilly. I was a big fan of the Sonic franchise during my teens and my most favorite games were Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 and Sonic Heroes. I was a very active member here and made friends with a lot of cool people. I gave up playing video games after Sonic Heroes but I did play Sonic Unleashed which I enjoyed. I think I lost interest after Sonic Heroes because the fanbase started to become divided a few years after its release. Both the franchise and fanbase have gone through a lot this past decade and I eventually decided to leave. I turned 23 last week and I've since been reflecting over my life.. it came to me that some of the most happiest times in my life were during my teens and this community sprung to my mind which is what made me want to visit back here after so long, it makes me all nostalgic and happy. Life kinda sucks right now, so yeah... random things have been going through my mind.
I was surprised to see that SHQ still exists. Most of the old fan sites no longer exist. I don't know if anyone here remembers the fan site Sonikku, but it was one of the largest Sonic forums back in the day. I used to hang out there and made many friends. I sometimes wonder what happened to that site, it's sad to see it go. I hope I'm not the only one here that has been around so long, haha. I really like the new design of the site, it's lovely. I tried to login using my old account but I think I've forgotten my login details, unless SHQ switched to a new database at some point and lost the old users.
Anyway, it feels great to visit back after so many years. It's been such a long time and to see that people are still active is really cool. I may not be as active here as I used to but I'll still read and post here from time to time... hopefully. I just really felt like coming by and saying hi.

Hi! Are you an old member of SHQ or an old member of Sonic Blast? We merged a few years ago. SHQ was one site as a teen I really admired so I'm glad to be a part of it now.
So if you're from the old SHQ foeums this is different. Sonic Blast started in 2006 and was the most active Sonic forum from 2008-2011. Alas things are much different now but I always wanted a site attached to the forum but never had time and I saw that SHQ no longer had a proper forum so I suggested the merger.
Sonikku, was that the same as Sonic Zone? -

I'm an old member of Sonic Blast but I do remember SHQ. I only found out recently about the merger. I didn't know you had suggested it. Are you also an old member of Sonic Blast? When the merge happened were some of the old users accidentally deleted?
And yes! Sonic Zone was also known as Sonikku, it was a very popular forum. Were you a member there? -

@ The old forum is still up as an archive. We had to switch software because we were on Zetaboards but they got bought out by Tapatalk and it's a pretty bad service compared to what we had. So that's why this forum has so many less posts and members because we started over.
Yeah I'm an old member, I started the forum. Lol I was at Sonic Zone right at the end before it died. -

Oh right, I thought so, now I know why I was unable to login with my old account. Losing all those members and posts really sucks! This place used to have a lot more members and content, there were so many interesting posts here.
Wait... you started the original Sonic Blast forum? Or do you mean this one? I think I remember seeing your name before but I'm not too sure.
Any idea what happened to Sonic Zone? I used to talk to the owner over MSN Messenger. I think a few months or weeks before Sonic Zone died he told me he felt like he wanted to become a girl and I wasn't sure if he was joking but he sounded depressed and never came back online again. I think someone at Sonic Stadium took over just before it died right? I'm not sure, I don't really remember. -

Yeah I started the forum April 8 2006. Depending when you were here you'd have seen me but I did have absences which I regret now. I kinda neglected it thinking it would just run itself.
No idea what happened to Sonic Zone. Every now and then I go to the way back machine and look at what it used to look like. lol. Do the same for here too. -

Yeah, I think I may remember you. I was most active here from around 2008. Sonic Zone and Sonic Blast were my two favorite forums. I know Sonic Stadium was also active back then but I don't think I ever posted there or rarely. Were you a member at SSMB?
Well.. I'm glad you started Sonic Blast in 2006. This place and Sonic Zone brought a lot of fun during my teens. The memories would hit me once every few months for the past decade but it was only recently that I decided to check if the sites still exist. I'm glad this forum didn't die out... even if it's not as active and lost much of its content it's nice to see it online and I hope you never delete it. It's always fun to go back and look at the old forums, seeing all those Sonic gifs, sprites and emojis brings back sweet memories and makes me all nostalgic, haha.
