Anyone else notice how quiet it's gotten?

Yeah, it's usually like this. It wasn't like this way back in the day though.

I've noticed it's been more quiet than usual too, but I know ppl have their reasons; march break, comic conventions, no new sonic news, personal reasons... it could be anything, but we've also seen some new faces as of recent too, it just takes some time for ppl to work up the courage to respond to a thread

now's a good time to resurrect some older threads though, I find a lot of ones in the chatter harbour are really good for shorter replies and encourage newer discussion; or even make your own thread! I've had some ideas for threads that I eventually want to post but I'm usually hesitant myself haha, we'll be okay though

Eh, I get the hesitancy. Of it being a topic that's either talked to death or won't have much people putting their two cents. Heck I know I'm guilty of keeping thread ideas bottled up.

But I dunno, I also kind of like this intermission. Gives you some time to think about previous topics and maybe something you missed, y'know. Discussion is super fun but also kind of draining.

But hey, finally got my computer issues fixed like... just a few hours ago, so I'm ready to get more active again.

glad to hear your computer issues are fixed now; and I get what you mean, my entire job is abt talking and interacting w/ customers and coworkers all days so sometimes I'm just too drained to post on here even if it is talking abt smth I enjoy 

thankfully the threads I have in mind aren't as long-winded as my "favourite sonic models" one, and mainly would just be ppl posting simple images or talking... sometimes I worry that I'm not a good thread-maker haha!

Whatever you wanna do, mate, just don't overthink things, that's when draining turns into misery.

There can be a lot of variables that comes when making a thread or responding to one, like getting your thoughts properly across, bouncing off the previous person's post while also leaving yours not too conclusive as to not lock someone else from responding to it and completely locking the thread as a whole. And while those are good things to keep in mind, that's just being a good conversationalist, you start treating that like you're writing business Emails and it may turn sour sooner than you'd expect.

And again, that's good for the most part, we all have thoughts in our head we want to share and may only have one shot at doing so when the topic is about it, but then you get to the state where I'm writing a whole essay about how much overthinking a fun little Sonic forum isn't worth and it and- oooooooohhhhh... I may be overthinking it too.

I guess this goes as a message to anyone who reads this, but, don't worry about not writing perfect posts, we're humans after all (Mobians...? Islanders...? Nermies? Depends on what continuity you want). And this is also sure as heck a message to me too.

Blah blah blah, no one's fault for a silent forums, that just happens, yadda yadda. I'M TOO BUSY PLAYING SONIC GAMES!!!

I read most of the posts on here, but I don't always jump in because in a lot of cases I feel like there's nothing meaningful I can add to the conversation.

I have been gone on vacation but I am done in a day or two so I will be back more in a few days.
