Castle Sol. Usually, this landmark of the Sol Dimension stood like a gleaming diamond in the center of the Sol Kingdom. Today was supposed to be one of its brightest days yet.
But yet...fate had a different plan.
The Castle was quickly overrun by an alternate version of a certain mad scientist. Him and an army of robots had unleashed a blitzkrieg upon the Castle. To make matters worse, the mad scientist-named Eggman Nega- had found the resting place of the Sol Emeralds-mystical gems that, when all 7 are collected the user would be granted unlimited power-and took all seven. To make matters worse, he had also awakened something....terrible.
As it turned out, the Sol Emeralds were guarded by a shadowy version of the Newly crowned Queen-named Blaze the Cat.
Her name....was Bedlam.And now that she had all 7 emeralds, her power was infinite.Four people stood on the highest tower, staring down the guardian gone rogue."Now or never guys," the Hedgehog with goggles on his head spoke. He usually stammered out his words, but this time his words were resolute. He had in his hands a scepter that was bejeweled and glowing with radiant light.The cat in a red tee and blue jacket nodded. As did the two Sorcerers, a Crow and a Hyena.As a huge thunderclap sounded, the four people charged the guardian, determined to have her come back to her senses and end this once and for all.

A few hours earlier....
The Castle was packed with people. Some were residents of this dimension, others came from dimensions near and far, all to wish the would-be Queen and King well.
A cat and two hedgehogs were walking around, greeting their guests. One hedgehog was blue while the other was white.
Seg Genesis was wearing his royal garb. Although he didn't feel like putting the heavy ensemble on, he had to. Even though this event clearly was for his adopted mother and father he had to be there as well. It was just manners.
He really wanted to hang out with his friends-his best friend Aaron Kunai and his sister Suni. They were here as well and even though Aaron was clearly bored his sister wasn't. The 5-tailed kitsune was practically bouncing from guest to guest. -

"Well met, and congratulations! Well met, and congratulations!" A teal-feathered crow called out as the new royals passed him by. "I must ask, how did you come to be chosen as the new rulers?
Farther back from the crow, a bronze-furred hyena sighed, shaking his head. "Teacher, please. Why must you be so embarrassing?" he muttered, leaning against the wall behind a table. And what the hell was that vision? -

The Cat answered him. "Well, if you must know, this was a long time coming. Silver and I have been ruling as Princess and Prince for well over a decade. Since then a lot has happened to our kingdom, the most prominent being our marriage and adopting our son here," she then hugged the blue hedgehog boy, who blushed. "M-momm..."
The white hedgehog continued. " I guess what my wife is trying to explain was that this was a needed step up in status. Sure, it can mean more chances for people to usurp the crown but we have proven that we can hold our own in any situation!" -

The crow glanced out across the assembled crowd. "My apologies. I suppose the question ought to have answered itself," he said with a slight bow. He offered his hand and introduced himself. "I'm Taylor Hiss, Librarian. Back there is my student, Conrad Murgley."
Across the courtyard, the hyena looked up when he heard his name, and raised his hand for a second. -

"It's very nice to meet both of you," Blaze said as she gave a curtsy. "Welcome to the Sol Dimension."
"H-hello," Seg said to the Hyena. "I'm Seg. Seg G-Genesis. It's nice t-to meet you." -

A grey koala wearing a blue hat and vest got closer to the royal couple, as they spoke with the guests. Always behind Blaze and Silver when they've been in the castle, the old royal guard had seen many things there, but his eyes were never ready to witness the impetuous energy of one young five-tailed fox...
"Excuse me, Your Highness," he spoke to Blaze "may we show concern for that... let's say hyperactive child?" the koala asked, looking directly to Suni, still greeting everyone in the crowd. Realizing the presence of Taylor and his apprendice, the guard felt the need to introduce himself
"Oh, and excuse my manners, mister Hiss, have I heard correctly?" the koala asked to the crow. "My name's Gardon, and I've been the royal guard for about... errr... a very long time, let's say."
Suni was definately excited. She felt inside one of those dramatic romance comics she used to read, where there's an epic celebration at the end of the story. And such a joyful feeling was something she couldn't hide... not that she wanted to hide that anyway.
"Kon'nichiwa, dear person I don't know!" Suni said to a guest that just got into the hall. "And welcome to the Sol Castle!"
Gardon looked back at the girl. "Then again, isn't that one of your son's friends?" he asked to the royal couple in regards to Suni. -

Blaze gently giggled at Gardon's inquiry about Suni. "Well, that's Suni for you. Aaron's her....uh, what's that phrase she uses...Onee-Chan, so he'll probably deal with it. She loves Seg too so they'll very much keep her in check."
She also noticed that Hopsy, the Royal mechanic who was not in her usual mechanics clothing but instead for a simple red dress was kneeling down and talking to the Kitsune. "Ah, our mechanic has her under control." -

"Very good, well met, Sir Gardon. Now, I would say, inasmuch as this may be a time and place for decorum, all worlds would be far better places if more people shared that child's spirit. Far too many of us have to learn to suppress that sense of wonderment when it should be encouraged!" Taylor replied passionately.
"'Lo," Conrad answered. "'M Conrad Murgley. Conrad, or Murgley, call me whichever one you want. Nice meetin' ya." -

(Whew, long post incoming, introducing some foreshadowing AND to move the plot along! Here we go!)
Seg smiles at the introduction. "Nice to m-meet you, once again. Um, W-welcome to our humble abode. I do h-hope that you enj-joy your time here in the S-sol Dimension, C-conrad" The hedgehog said, stuttering his greeting.
Indeed, Seg Genesis had a speech impediment, making him stammer and stutter any sentences he spoke. However he always powered through it and never let it beat him.
Blaze noticed Aaron sitting at one of the tables, simply bored. She knew that the slightly-younger cat boy wasn't at all interested in events like this. That was to be expected.
However, the newly-crowned Queen had invited him and his sister for something very top-secret.
She took a seat next to him. "Hello, Aaron. Nice to see you and Suni here celebrating our crowning as King and Queen," she said, slightly purring at him.
"Yeah, just thought I'd be here for moral support, your high-nyass" Aaron said with a smile. "However, I'd rather be solving mysteries than be sitting at some ceremony." He looked around. "Soooo....is what we talked about ready, your highness, nya?"
Blaze gave a curt nod. "Yes. And I thought you might like to hear that." She then leaned in closer. "Before I turn it over to you, I want you to promise me one thing."
"Nyame it, your highness."
"That you'll balance your Detective Agency and this....new way to protect the Sol Dimension. I would hate for you to destroy one thing you helped build just for the sake of creating one thing you want."
"It's nyot going to be like that, your highness. This is just to protect Seg and Suni. After all, they're my friends and family. The entire Sol Dimension can be put under that heading too. This really is for all of them."
"I hope you know what you're doing then," Blaze said, stealthily handing Aaron a small key. "Underground shaft. You know which one then."
Aaron nodded, taking the key and stuffing it into his pocket. The two cat people had managed to look discreet the whole time. If one were to look at them during that exchange, it would definitely appear that something was up.
Suddenly, there was a moderate tremor that swept through the hall.
Blaze, Silver, Aaron, Seg and even Suni perked up. what was that just now? -

Suni was astonished by Hopsy's outfit. Seeing the mechanic in such appearance was unusual, but quite a remarkable sight for the kitsune girl.
"Your dress is soooo cool! It’s like a--Eek!” Suni exclaimed. “Nani?! Was that an earthquake?”
Gardon nervously looked around, looking for the source of the tremor. Expecting the worst, he looked at Silver.
"I’m going to look outside, allow me to leave the hall for a minute, Your Highness.” the koala said to the psychic hedgehog while grabbing the handle of his sword.
