    So, as I was doing my normal morning routine, I had an idea. What if one of us created a server(Other than me, since I use a school laptop and therefore cannot port it forward.) with sonicblast.org in it? We'd get advertising AND some fun out of it! Who's with me?

    Hmmm that is a pretty great idea. It could be Sonic HQ as well because regardless which gets more traffic, it benefits both.

    I used to do this in Tribes 2(hosting my own servers on dial up haha) but it has been forever. I'd have to figure how to do it again.

    How is SRB2 online anyway? Is it just a free for all or is it multiple players going through the stages?

    Mainly depends. There's multiple modes, including modded modes. POrt forwarding is a complicated process, but it pays off.
    I can't do it because of my school laptop, but I would have by now if I could.

    What is SRB2? I know it's some sort of Sonic fan made game, but I've never played it. What do you do in it?

    It's an open world 3D platformed in the style of the Genesis games(but can be nodded to any style). Probably best to just show a video of gameplay.

    Don't forget the BONKERS modding potential it has. It runs on a modified Doom engine, so the mod support for this game is crazy flexible. New characters, new maps, new gamemodes, new HUDs, total physics overhalls. Insane is what it is.

    I'd say take suggestions for what mods to be put in the server, but then that would lead to it being like a 60GB download, so... guess keep it relatively vanilla for now?

    Right, forgot to mention. If we are using a "hub" type of map, I do recommend SRB2Hub, since its like the hub map people use. Has some hangout areas, teleports for vanilla levels and just really well made overall.
