  I've seen a lot more love for the Classic designs after the release of Mania, and I think its really refreshing, so I wanted to hear everyone's input.
       Do you have a particular design you prefer for one character over another? I personally miss Classic Tails, but I prefer Modern Amy as she appears in the Dreamcast era of games. It doesn't have to be exclusive to the games (ex. preferring SATAM Sally over post-reboot, Fleetway Amy over game universe Amy, etc.).
       Do you like to make up your own designs for characters? Please share with me - I'd like to hear your opinions! Ciao!

  I grew up with classic designs, started off with Sonic 2 as my favorite game but I've always preferred the Dreamcast restyle to the classic look for pretty much every character. I like those designs better than modern(albeit modern is just an evolution) but I remember when those characters were redone and they just had so much more style to them and looked better imo.
  
  Not that I don't like the classic designs I just prefer the DC designs and the newer comic renditions from IDW.

  I’ve got a particular soft spot for the classic designs, I guess because I spent more time playing classic era games than modern ones as a kid!
  
  That being said, I actually like the modern designs too. They’ve got a lot of personality all their own separate from the originals, and overall I just kinda also dig their aesthetic.

  I definitely lean towards the Modern style because it's what I'm better at drawing and the Modern era has more game highlights (and positive vibes) than the Classic era does - but I definitely love the Classic style too, just in different ways.
  
  As much as I'm not a fan of the way Classic Sonic keeps showing up in games starring Modern Sonic lately I'm definitely a fan of the fact that the two eras can now co-exist to a degree because I think both styles (both aesthetically and mechanically) have a lot to offer that the other doesn't.
  
  Like, as far as the cute factor goes, Classic blows Modern out of the water.

  Yeah I like both too but modern drawings just seem better IMO.

  I grew up with the classic Sonic when he made his first appearance on the Sega Mega Drive. Then I love the modern Sonic characters. And to be honest I love both classic and modern Sonic characters 😊

  I don't know about anyone else but I kinda like the movie design better than modern Sonic and Classics design.

  Not gonna lie the movie design still hasn't grown on me. It's far better than the *cough* alternative... but still just feels kinda iffy to me. 
  
  Haven't seen the new movie yet, but going by what I HAVE seen I feel like Tails is the only character who doesn't veer into whatever the Sonic character equivalent of the Uncanny Valley is for me

  Yeah it took a while for it to grow on me even after the superior redesign. I wouldn't mind the games going back to the original Sonic Adventure style, where he's shorter than SADX.
