  You know, its been a long time since Chao was in a Sonic game in terms of being involve of the gameplay as a pet simulator. While Chao was involve in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood on the DS as some sort of a sub item(?) to help your character in battle back in 2008, really people remember more on the Sonic Advance series and the Sonic Adventure series. 
  
  I personally did enjoy the Chao feature when it was first introduce in Sonic Adventure 1, although I play the DX version since I never owned a Dreamcast (sadly). It is a nice feature to kinda kill time and see what kinds you can breed and such, a tad like Pokemon. Of course there is room to add on to the Garden feature as well what to improve on, but I will share that as people say their responses in this topic.
  
  I know that SEGA introduce Chao back then partially because Tamagotchi was very popular back in the late 90s and early 2000s. And pet simulations are a thing too. 
  
  So do you think SEGA bring back the Chao feature in future Sonic games? And if so, what do you think they should add, remove or improve on?

  I was just going to say it was a product of its time. As you said the tamagotchi craze was at its peak when Sonic Adventure was in production. By the early 2000s it was mostly over but still seen as something cool. I’m not sure how popular a mode like this would be outside the hardcore fan base. I’d for sure like to see it return though.
  
  As for improvements I think maybe have Chao function like wisps so different ones that are raised help your character in the main gameplay.

  I think mainly to improve it is make the gardens bigger and have more outside activities to do. Racing and Kindergarten was good but let’s have some more things we can have them do. Maybe having battles once they mature? Kinda like Pokemon.

  Agreed! It would be nice to have more to do with Chao. Although I think in Sonic Adventure 2, they have the Karate feature where you do battle different types of Chao. However, if they ever bring the feature back, we can probably do online racing and battles. lol

  Hmmm interesting growing Chao to give Sonic different abilities based on how they grow. I could see that being challenging to gameplay though for level designs. Maybe each ability helps you access areas of the level previously unavailable to Sonic with his normal abilities? That could work.
