I know it's to stop spam, but can't we just get something to detect that stuff instead of making it super inconvenient for those who missed a lot and want to reply to stuff they missed?

The current setting is 20 seconds. You cannot post a second post in under 20 seconds. We could increase that to 30 seconds I suppose but I do not want to make it too long.
