Every year since 2014, the Sonic Wiki Zone is briefly re-themed for April Fool's day, before being returned to normal the following day. I didn't have involvement with most of the themes, but I thought it'd be neat to share all the jokes that have been made so far, in case you ever missed some (or all) of them. I've tried to provide web archive links or screenshots for most of them, so they can still be viewed in all their glory.
2014: The Sonic wiki is secretly re-themed to the "Super Mario Wiki". Many users are initially confused, thinking they somehow went to the wrong wiki. What's really funny is, the admins on the Mario wiki liked the theme, and thought it was actually better than the one the Mario wiki was using. So they asked to use the images created for it, and the Sonic wiki admins agreed. They have better images now, but it's funny to think that for years, the Mario wiki was using images created by the Sonic wiki as a joke. Screenshot below.
2015: Eggman takes over. Screenshot below.
2016: The Sonic wiki becomes the "Sonic Shipping Network" [LINK]
2017: Nothing significant for this year. Seems there was a special video on the main page, but it's no longer up.
2018: The Sonic wiki is meme-ified. (Some of the images in the archive don't properly display, unfortunately) [LINK]
2019: The Sonic wiki becomes the Knuckles wiki. (I couldn't find any links to the full archived pages, but I did find the individual parts) [LINK1, LINK2, LINK3, LINK4]
2020: The wiki becomes a database for cat facts. [LINK]
2021: Eggman takes over again. [LINK]
2022: I got to design the theme for 2022. 'Nuff said. [LINK]
2023: The Super Special Sonic Search and Smash Squad takes over. This one was primarily designed by another admin, but I got to help design some parts. [LINK]
2024: It's a secret.
So there you have it, I hope you enjoyed seeing all the hilarity from the past 10 years, and I hope you enjoy what's in store for this year. -

I really like harmless jokes like these on april fool's day, especially the character themed ones; it's also nice that this has been a tradition kept up for 10 yrs, not many sites bother anymore (youtube comes to mind like their 1911 april fool's effect)
I may be biased, but I like the bean news network a lot

just checked out the Sonic Wiki today, I won't post a screencap and spoil ppl bcuz you should go check it out it's very funny, good job to everyone at SWZ for all your effort

I'm glad they're finally archiving my favorite character. He's been kind of swept under the rug by SEGA recently.
