RE: Any Digimon Fans in the house?

Oh yes, the first two seasons were very fun!! While Adventure 02 for a long time had been my favorite, when I came back to view it with more of an aged understanding, I noticed so many awkward inconsistencies with the story. I came to learn that there were issues internally in that season, and the show was passed through a few different writers who were trying to steer it in different directions. That explained the building up of a new enemy in one episode, only to nearly forget about it in the next. Where as Tamers, season 3 (Which I HIGHLY recommend going and watching, even as an adult it really holds up!), was the most well written season I had watched, and was strangely DARK for a Digimon season. But it was a wild ride and has now tied for my favorite season!
I agree that at least, as a show, it is better than Pokemon. Game wise, I can't dog what the first release of Pokemon established for simple yet fun RPG titles, but as far as the shows, Digimon had them beat hands down!
I've honestly never played Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth before, but was debating getting the version available on the Switch. Is that a worthwhile game to pick up then? I've seen it on sale before and almost gone for it. Perhaps I should have! The only Digimon games I've had the pleasure to play in the past were Digimon World's 1 and 3, and that kart racer game for GBA.
EDIT: I also must point out, the US got the short end of the stick in terms of theme songs. While the one we had is iconic to us, boosted by nostalgia, the Japanese theme song "Butterfly" is leagues above it in terms of just power and overall song structure. If you ever watch the Tri series that came out, they use "Butterfly" throughout and you realize fast just what we missed here in the states!
