  Oh no... we all know how this is going to play out. My spouse actually shown me a TikTok the other day where someone was reacting to the fact that the role of Maria has been filled. The person had that "if you know you know" look, and I didn't want to spoil it for my spouse whenever we go to see Sonic 3 later this year lol.

  Either the obvious or something to do with how the character looks. Don't forget, in Sonic's 1 and 2, we had COMPLETELY DIFFERENT origin stories for each of the characters. Prime example, game lore Knuckles is supposed to guard the Master Emerald on Angel Island, yet here he is on Earth in Sonic 2. Who's to say that Maria's character is going to go the same way?

  Agreed. I think they will take some liberties and change up the story of maria and gerald. I do not think it will be majorly different but I do think things will not be 100% like for like with sonic adventure 2.

  I've met a lot of people who rejoiced when knowing about this, chanting "I can't wait for the death scene!"... I'm one of the guys who hopes it goes that way because it would absolutely SHOCK every newcomer to the franchise and so much chaos is bound to be a fun time, but if they do something else... Well, I just hope it's interesting, y'know?
