Sup everyone, the name's SmugSpeed (well that's the username I'm going by on here as well as some other places). I was introduced to the Sonic franchise through the legendary Archie Sonic comics and Sonic Advance (which is still one of my Top 10 Favorite GBA games to this day). My favorite arc of Archie Sonic would is The Dark Mirror Saga, due to the fact Scourge is one of my favorite Sonic antagonists. (I legitimately find him to be better than Shadow and am sad that he'll probably never be brought back in any official capacity.) My favorite Sonic game and current favorite game of all time is Sonic Robo Blast 2 (which very recently trumped Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, which was my favorite game for years). My current favorite Sonic characters are The Freedom Fighters (Sally, Rotor, Antoine, and Bunnie). If you have any questions you'd like answered about me that I didn't cover in this post, please let me know. (No SUPER personal questions though!) -

I loved the Archie comics although I never read them much past issue 75. I started on issue 30. Also the original Sonic Advance was awesome, it was as close to the classics as it could be with an updated modern look. Also a huge fan of Spyro and other 3D platformers.

Welcome, Smug Speed! I haven't read enough of the Archie comics to know much of Scourage. What I do know is, while it may not be official media, Scourage is appearing in a certain fan film I've been following recently which I will probably post about after I make this reply. I hope you enjoy the forums! -

Welcome to the forums! Unfortunately I haven't read much of the Archie comics but I want to go back and read them some day. I am a huge fan of the new Sonic IDW comics -- what do you think of those?
That's awesome that you love Sonic Advance. I really love the entire Advance series, especially Advance 3, although the first two are absolutely amazing. They are such unique and underappreciated games in the series, combining modern Sonic aesthetic with innovative and refreshed 2D gameplay. It incorporates elements I love from both Modern and Classic Sonic while having a large proportion of key unique elements to tie it together, providing its own unique atmosphere and experience. -

I think the IDW ones are ok, but the Archie ones are better because of how much more freedom they had as well as the unique world it built.
