haven't seen a general thread for it pop up yet, so i'll make one.
there's only 2 days until the movie releases! techincally only one, since there's early showing events on the 19th. i'm gonna be seeing it early, and i'm pretty excited. i wasn't entirely sold on this movie at first, since i wasn't the biggest fan of the first 2 movies, but all the marketing since the first trailer has made me a lot more optimistic about it.
unfortunately the movie isn't releasing internationally on the 20th, though. there's some countries like japan that won't be seeing it until later in the month. -

Over here, it'll be launching in the 25th. But I don't know if I can actually make the date. Hopefully so. I'm not the biggest on the movies, but a Sonic movie is a Sonic movie.
In all honesty, I more wanna see firsthand what character they're gonna sequel-hook with, if at all. I SCREAMED at the Sonic movie 2 theater when they showed Shadow and I don't want that experienced spoil by seeing "Amy confirmed for movie 4!!!" on Tumblr. -

oh yeah, the new character reveal is going to be hype, i wouldn't want that ruined for me either. (which, personally, i'm hoping for either metal sonic or rouge). i've heard there's going to be multiple post-credits scenes, so there might even be something else teased along with the sequel?
either way, i wish you the best of luck avoiding spoilers! i know i wouldn't be able to help myself if i wasn't seeing it early, and i'd probably accidentally spoil myself, hahah -

just got home from the theater... no spoilers, but that was easily the best thing to come out of the movieverse thus far. they really nailed shadow. and that finale captured the spirit of the sa2 finale in the best way possible. the end credits character reveal was super fun, too. it's definitely going to make a lot of people happy, and i'm curious to see where they go with it. -

It's without a doubt my favorite movie of the 3. I've got some minor gripes with it, but overall I'm giving it a 9/10 for sure. -

Finally watched it. I always felt Stone got side walled in the second movie and felt as a key character in the first he didn't get enough time but in this one they not only gave him enough time, he was a much better role than ever.
Also I really didn't care for the human subplots in the 2nd movie. The Siberian dance off was okay but felt unnecessary and the wedding scenes just weren't good IMO. In this movie I liked all of the human interactions. -

I went to the movie last night! I hadn't watched the previous 2 Sonic movies, so I didn't know much abt the 'movieverse' until now, and I liked the movie for what it was! it's definitely a movie-movie if that makes sense, with the pacing and everything but the scenes with Shadow didn't disappoint and there was a few moments I couldn't help but get excited at

Watched it the other day, but only now I'm able to talk about it.
Without spoilers, of course, I definitely think it's the best movie so far. We have very little human filler this time around and I like what they did not only with Shadow but Agent Stone as well.
I do have gripes with how Maria and Gerald are handled, however. To explain it as spoiler-free as I can, they're technically accurate to their original story functions from Sonic Adventure 2, but lose a lot of detail and nuance that certainly isn't just movie run-time's fault, making them way less interesting characters, no matter how endearing Jim Carrey's last performance with these movies is.
And I actually have a lot to say in terms of the big post-credits thing, but I think we'd need another "SONIC MOVIE SPOILERS" thread for that.
Overall though, I really liked it, and I'm certainly excited for the next movie.
