What about more dynamic awarding system, like granting awards for participating in a discussion. Example :
Award Name : Sonic Collector
Award Assignee : @BDBGaming✨
@BDBGaming✨ opens up a thread title : Show us your collections !
Then user @
NeoMetallix shows a picture of their Mega Drive along a Sonic retro game cartridge.
Finally @BDBGaming✨ grants the "Sonic Collector" award to @NeoMetallix.
If you wanna fill the awards page even split and make more awards, grant one for showing a console (Mega Drive) and another for showing a cartridge.
Etc.

Maybe not member of the month but what about featured member ? You could add a featured user information somewhere around the forum, along some additional info like their awards, achievements, signature perhaps, etc.
Make it random or frequent, like 24 hours or less, etc. -

Those ideas are gold! I have the awards plugin but I haven't really thought of a good way to implement it.
I do like that a lot but wouldn't only administrators be able to award those? -
