Yeap, Following Mario Kart, Pokken Tournament and Hyrule Warriors, New Super Mario Bros U is apparently the next Wii U game to get ported over to the Switch.
The deluxe copy supposedly contains the original New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U add-on.

Why they would be doing this over porting or making Mario Maker 2/Deluxe is baffling to me. You'd think making Mario Maker available in a proper form on a portable console would be a bigger priority...

Can’t disagree with this at all. Mario Maker Deluxe would be the better option. Or just a new one but maybe this is just a stop gap till the new one releases?

Oh I'm positive a Mario Maker 2 is still in the works, No need to worry.

I agree but it doesn't make the wait any worse. I love hopping into Mario Maker from time to time but I would love to see a resurgence in its popularity again cause now that Miiverse is gone there aren't many people making and playing new levels...
