So if you haven't heard an apparent script was leaked for the next Nintendo Direct supposedly coming at the end of this month.
I won't go into the specifics of the rest of the leak but apparently it will reveal that Sega will be remaking the 3 Sonic Wii games (Namely Secret Rings, Black Knight and Colors) for the Switch, With an option to play without motion controls if you play the game in handheld mode.

While I don't really believe the leak is real personally I wouldn't say no to having another chance to play these games again.

I thought Sonic and the Secret Rings was a good game, but I didn't like the controls and I never finished it. If this is going to be released on the Switch I hope Sonic won't automatically running like in the game on the Wii. Sonic and the Black I haven't played much of and Sonic Colours is the best from the three games that were released on the Wii. It would good to play these games on the Switch, if it happens.

I could believe a Colours remake but the Storybook games seem really unlikely. Pretty sure they're doomed to fade into obscurity. Personally enjoyed them for what they were though and miiiight pick them up as remakes if that really did come to pass.

Yeah they weren't really well received and they were made for motion controls. You can't just take out the motion controls and call it a day, a lot has to be changed. Colors would be great but not if it's just on Switch. I want Colors in 4k. It still looks good but being rendered in a high resolution to make it crisp would be amazing.

I just hope colors gets a re release and perhaps a PC port, the others i dont care about as i hate motion control bullshit.

Sonic Colors is the best out of the three.
I have a copy of it for the Wii, but since the Wii is a non-starter I play it via emulation. And it runs fine in 1920x1080. Haven't yet tried 4K (unfortunately my Mac is stuck with an ATI Radeon and I am waiting until I can afford an outboard PCIe interface to run better graphics card)

4K would be amazing but I imagine even in 1080 it's a HUGE difference. Especially with proper anti-aliasing. Colors was great artistically but a jaggy mess.

I would rebuy colors and black knight if they were added to the xbox store.

Having been playing Secret Rings for the first time of recent, I can say with confidence the game simply wouldn't work if it didn't have motion controls. If you think about it, it's a bunch of corridors and the controls are a clever guise to keep you engaged in those corridors. With that in mind, a PC port would be difficult, unless they did some sort of mouse-based control scheme.

I'm not hating Secret Rings so far so I wouldn't be opposed to an update, but they'd have to sort something out for Xbox and PC. The same could be said for Black Knight, although I haven't played that yet.

No I think they should just remap the motion controls to regular controls and for those who have motion controls well you can always have a controller input option. this would actually be a good idea for the switch because it has its mobile mode so it needs both motion controls and controller support. I mean Sonic Unleashed had both motion control and standard controller support

Yes, but Unleashed's Wii port wasn't entirely designed around motion controls, whereas Black Knight and Secret Rings were.
