So I've been playing this fangame called Sonic GT which is a completed fangame, not one still in progress. I've been enjoying it. I beat the first boss and completed the first three levels. All the levels are well crafted for your high momentum that utilizes speed to get you to higher and out of reach areas. Lots of different paths to find. Has any one played this? It even has a basic story with cutscenes like in Sonic Rivals.

I've played it before, and recently revisited it for Time-Attacking not too long ago. Really, I think its up there as one of the best Sonic fangames, it nails the momentum-based gameplay of older Sonic titles while also adding in modern flair.

It's one of those games that's just fun to run around even with no objective, it's not only the speed but the effects and wind sounds that I think makes this the most accurate game when it comes to putting you in the shoes of the speedy blue rat. It's all just so smooth.

Only complaint I have is that the main game is very short, but the whole point is that you replay levels over and over for cleaner runs, so that's more than fine.

From what I've seen, it's good. Sad thing is I can't get it due to not having Windows.

Yeah I think that is fair. The levels offer so much replayability due to all of the differing routes.

You can run it using WINE on Mac. I don't have Windows and can still play it on Linux.

I'll be honest, I've never really dipped my toes before into the world of Sonic fangames, but I got to hand it to these people, some of these games look like something that Sega could have actually worked on and honestly good on Sega to recognize that these games are just free publicity unlike Nintendo who shuts down literally anything to do with their IPs.
