Here's a neat sonic fact for you! Maybe two since I'm feeling extra knowledgeable today:
There's a game for the SNES called Super Gussun Oyoyo that lifts the entirety of the track Tidal Tempest Present for it's track titled Special.
You can listen to that here
Also, the Sega Master System port of Gigalopolis Zone from Sonic Chaos's theme is just the Korg M1 Demo titled "Oh Yes!" -

Welcome aboard, Hermetica!
It looks like we're on the same boat, missing out on forums' golden age because of the enviroments we grew up in... Well, I'm not a 90's kid, so chances are I would've missed out either way... it kinda sucks, but hey, we're here now, so let's make the best out of our stay!
One of my favorite tricks is from Sonic Adventure DX, the fact being, it IS possible to get all upgrades for Sonic before even fighting the "EGG HORNET"! ... Sadly, I'm not a skilled enough Gamer™ to get the "Ancient Light", but I always get the "Crystal Ring" and the "Lightspeed Shoes" before rescuing Tails at Emerald Coast. Yes, in that order, otherwise the Crystal Ring wouldn't be a challenge. -

I think a couple of my friends (also on the forum) have done this when streaming SADX on discord! All of it is super helpful and I'm glad they can be obtained early enough.
Glad to know I'm not alone. My adhd was/is so severe that I couldn't stay on task ever so a lot of social media got blocked off for me pretty quickly including good old parental control time limits on windows vista. Didn't even get my own laptop until right after I graduated high school almost 12 years ago now. On one hand, I'm glad I never had the usual poor experiences others have talked about, but I also feel like I missed out on a ton of nostalgic "moments" people have had (like online gaming such as Final Fantasy XI, for example).
I would've loved to experience Final Fantasy XI as a kid, I shan't lie. -

They have? All the way up to the Ancient Light??? That would be sick to see, I haven't been able to replicate it, so I'd love to know what's the trick...

I'm told I've been diagnosed with adhd (I don't really rememeber that...) and I don't really know what to make of it, because if I have it, it's definitely not too sharp, but other family members will outright deny I'm anything like that, but I guess it's for the better that no one knows for certain, living in a LatAm country, it could turn into a problem...
I don't know much about Final Fantasy either, or MMOs for that matter... I bet I would've stayed on my platformer-obsessed behavior though, but... Oh, who knows for sure? Nurture can change you in ways beyond imagination. Both of us would surely be very different to the people we are today, had we grown up with the level of internet access we have now. Is it for the better or the worse? I don't know, but I don't have many regrets besides "missing out".
