Hypothetically speaking, Sega releases a new home console that's close to the power for PS5/Xbox in the next year or two, would you buy the hardware just to play Sonic games? We've been lucky to have Sonic games on almost every platform for over a decade, would you follow if he suddenly went exclusive to one hardware? -

I wouldn't get a new Sega console JUST for Sonic. Having it as powerful as the PS5 and Xbox is nice but I care a lot more about the content. So while Sonic would be neat, I would want it to have a lot more exclusives alongside that. -

Absolutely not. Sonic games have been such a gamble in the modern age and a truly amazing one that is worth buying a console for would be probably 1 in 5 recent releases at this stage, and even then, I'm not one to buy a console for just a single good game. If they offered something like cheap old games from consoles past similar to the stores of modern consoles and had at least an okay library of games beyond the Sonic offerings, then sure, I'd pony up the dough and give it a go. -

Absolutely! Putting your game on every platform takes a lot of manpower but being on a single platform helps you craft a game for that hardware as best as possible. That is not always 100% the case but more often true than not. -

I would probably get it, but from a commercial point of view that would probably bankrupt the franchise. I think new consoles can hardly compete with current dominance. It would be safer to just stick to improving or delivering games to existing consoles. -

If you have the time, it's a documentary on how Sega took on Nintendo who had 95% marketshare and ended up with over 50% in 5 years. It IS possible, but you need a great product, marketing, and leadership. -

If it was a really great game, sure. I am talking sonic adventure good. At the time sa was the showcase for graphics and ahead of its time. -

I definitely would stick to buying Sega consoles again if Sonic was only exclusive to their consoles like back in the day. I don't care how many mediocre games we get, this series is my favorite and I will continue to support Sega no matter what. -

Tbh I'd rather have Sega back instead of Xbox. Sega always did awesome even on their failed consoles.
