Are there any Sonic games you have not played? If so which ones and do you wish to be able to try them?


For me I've never played Sonic R. Always wanted to play it but I never owned a Saturn and my PCs can't emulate Saturn games. Seems like Saturn is hard to emulate so you need a pretty good rig.

Another one I've never played is the Saturn version of 3D Blast. I have played the Genesis version so it's pretty much exactly the same game but I'd like to play it with the upgraded graphics and alternate soundtrack.

*cries* The list is long for me, so I'll just focus on the ones I'd love to try someday.

I honestly don't think there's many I haven't played... As part of a charity challenge, I've spent a lot of this year trying to complete as many Sonic games as possible! You can find some of the rare arcade games online playable in a browser(that's how I found Space Patrol and Segasonic The Arcade!),if you can run Kega Fusion you're already sorted for Game Gear games, and that also means you should be able to run PicoDrive which is where you'll find such awesome classics as Tails and The Music Maker, Sonic's Gameworld and I'm fairly sure there's another Sonic title for the Pico but something tells me I applied mental bleach after finishing it...
Speaking of emulated games, have a look for Sonic Eraser. Got released to the world not too long ago, was originally released in Japan only for Mega Drive users with a modem attachment. The gameplay sucks. The music is unique in a Sonic game in that it sucks bad(can't remember how to add links in Quick Reply mode, so here's a handy link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxP0n7h_914) and it is not only awful, but redefines ear rape.

Sonic's Schoolhouse is on the to-play list. So are the Sonic Boom titles and Sonic Free Riders. I would love to give Sonic Shuffle a shot too, never really got the chance back in the day.

Looks like I forgot quite a few. Never even knew about Sonic Eraser.

Some others I missed out on are Sonic Free Riders, Sonic Riders, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic and the Black Knight, and Sonic Lost World.

The only one of that bunch I really want to try is Sonic Lost world but the Wii games I wouldn't mind trying just to see what they're like.

I need to play Sonic Chronicles and Sonic and the Black Knight. I really liked Sonic and the Secret Rings and I've heard Black Knight is better than that game. Chronicles I've heard is quite bad but I am still curious about that game.

YMMV. Personally, I quite enjoyed it. It was never going to be the world's greatest RPG but as a casual RPG fan I found it quite enjoyable. If you're a hardcore RPG gamer you're probably going to hate it.

That's personally how I feel I'd react to it. Darn it, that's another one I forgot I haven't played. Also would like to try the 3DS version of Generations as it has different levels that I like better than the console version.

If anyone is planning on playing Chronicles by the way, it's currently impossible to emulate. In-game tutorial videos crash no matter what emulator you use, so the only way to play it is on original hardware.

The list of games I've left go unplayed is far too long!! I feel off quite intensely in about 2005 for keeping up with the regular releases, and have just sort of been spotty in what I've found of interest to play. As far as more recent releases, Mania was of course amazing, but Farces really left me unwilling to give it a go! I suppose if all these games were free to try I may be more interested in giving them a go, but as far as it stands, if it has been released past 2005 odds are I have missed out.
