  Yeah, that's more or less how I feel. That said, I won't shy away from stuff like Eminem or Wu Tang Clan if the mood strikes me; I don't mind rap when it's trying to tell a story or convey a message. The casual misogyny and adherence to the "hood life" can stay way the hell away from me.
  
  Also, along the lines of video game music, I'm a fan of composers like Keiichi Okabe (fantastically talented man) and Danny Baranowsky. Crypt of the Necrodancer definitely falls in my top 5 soundtracks.

  There are a lot of video game composers I like. I’ll start with Rom Di Prisco. He did an awesome job in Need For Speed!

  Well, since we're talking about VGM now, I think i'll share these with you guys. 
  
  I LOVE this remix of "Fate" from MOTHER 3, to begin with....
  
  
  
  ...And I LOVE the Zero-Two boss battle Music from Kirby 64 (AKA my all-time favorite Kirby game!)
  
  ...And last but not least some DDLC,since I'm working on a fanfic for that game!

  For sure my favorite type of music genres is classical/orchestral , rock, metal (most types), video game music and a little bit of pop! Of course, sometimes I would like a song that isn't in my usual taste of music, but won't mind it unless if its annoying, tasteless or flat out bad.
  
  With video game music, it is a magical land since you will be surprise by the amount of catchy songs you can find in various video games!

  It would've been easier if I had to select my least favorite kind of music, as then I would've chosen Jazz. Not all are bad, but that's the least I could care listen to. 
  
  
  Now when it comes to what I do enjoy. 
  Video Game style music has to be my favorite cup of tea, with Symphonic Metal as a close second. 
  Other then those two, Classic, 80's/90's music, hands down so much nostalgia. 
  Then any style of Rock, and basically any kind of music with a good rhythm. For those who wish sharing music, chances are I won't turn down whatever comes my way as long I feel the vibe. He he! 
  
  Last but not least are probably Rap, R&B, Country, etc. I mean there are few selections I do enjoy, but it's certainly ones which for instance have a bit of melody to it, rather then just for instance rappers, prattling all nonsense in the mic. Can't stand that. 
  
  Doesn't mean they are my least favorite as that'd be jazz.

  Personally, I love almost all kinds of music but hip hop and reggae will always be my number one favourites. I play those music genre every singe day without getting bore.

  Honestly, my taste in music is all over the place! Though I have a soft spot for the edgier kind of rock music (and this one synthpop(??) band that does super edgy stuff occasionally), at least in terms of lyrics, haha. Younger me was super into trance and such but as I grew up I became actually finnish started liking heavier rock too.

  I surprise people sometimes. But I REALLY like Heavy Metal.
  I also like alternative, classic rock, techno and dub step.
  I can listen to almost anything...except country...and most rap. (Eminem is the exception...and Linken Park and Dangerkids are kind of like rock/rap so like if it's rap with an electric guitar that's fine.)
