RE: This or That

That's definitely understandable. I love both, but I would personally have chosen the ocean as I inexplicably feel at home around large bodies of water in a fundamental way. Especially the ocean. The vast, endless nature of it intrigues me and causes me to ponder what lay beyond the horizon.
I definitely have to pick both 2D and 3D platformers: I love both so much equally in different ways. I definitely grew up much more with 3D platformers, but grew to love 2D platformers just as much when I was older. Sonic is definitely my favorite game series of all time, and is also the perfect example of both genres done wonderfully. I love the mystery and intrigue of 2D Sonic games (both the Classic Era, as well as 2D games from the Modern Era). The 2D environment encourages such aesthetics by its nature of having to show so many fascinating elements from a distance, such as background areas that are never directly accessible. I always love pondering who or what may reside hidden amongst the mysteries of each zone. 3D Sonic games are just an absolute joy with the depth and detail of immersion and experience: one of countless examples that comes to mind is Cosmic Fall from Shadow the Hedgehog, how immersive and emotional that level is across the union of visual and musical aesthetic driving the nature of gameplay. In conclusion, both in terms of gameplay and aesthetics I simply love too much about both 3D and 2D platforming to pick one over the other: I dearly love both equally, in different ways and for different (but often similar) reasons.
Pokemon Crystal or Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver?
